We spent a long weekend in Eger in Hotel Minaret. In average the hotel was nice, although we didn't sleep so well because of the outdoor noises: traffic, heavy rain (but that wasn't the hotel's fault) and sometimes it was annoying that you could hear what is happening in the neighbouring rooms.
Our room was alright: we had a view to the minaret, towels and hair dryer were provided too and even a small refrigerator was in the room which could be useful in the summer.
The hotel's main advantage that it is in the city center, so we could reach most of Eger's sights (Dobó Square, Turkish bath, termal bath, basilica, castle of Eger, etc.) easily on foot.
Breakfasts and dinners were very delicious and staff was very helpful and polite so our weekend worth its price.More
