It has been considered the best cafe in the world and it stands for its fame, we preferred to seat in the balcony area to have a relax dinner instead to be where most of the tourist go. The ambiance is terrific, This is part of the Boscolo Hotel. If you do not want to pay the price of a meal, just go for a drink or coffee and pastries. It is an obligatory visit for anyone fascinated by excellence and luxury.

We had heard great things about this cafe so walked for about 35 mins from our hotel to get there. Once we arrived we were greeted by immaculate staff and the most elegant & romantic of surroundings. It's like stepping into the upper class world of the 1900's. The menu was fairly small and the prices are quite high but what do you expect for such an opulent place. The service was great from start to finish and the toilets, being stunning and clean, we're a welcome change from the city's expensive WC's. Worth a visit!

It's really worth searching out the New York Cafe. Totally over the top but fun, good for a coffee; iced chocolate; etc when you're busy walking around. Staff are friends and happy; in fact our waiter articulated that he loved his job, the clients, location and product!

We ate here because it is one of the most beautiful places you can go. The building is really elegant, service is good, and the food is OK but a little overpriced. Still, a good experience.

We had light lunch here twice. Once on our own once with a couple of family members. It is a magnificent setting. And the service is professional although some of the waiters can be a bit off hand with a bit of "de haut en bas" in their attitude (as others have observed). Sweets were delicious -go for the New York or Hungarian selections. Savouries were pretty good. Caesar salad excellent. The wine is desperately overpriced by the glass or the bottle. So it's the experience of the building and its history that you are going for and they make you pay for it.
