We were tired and running late so we went to this place on one of the main touristy areas where restaurants lined the street. It was our first meal in Hungary so we ordered a sharing plate of mixed starters, followed by catfish in a lime sauce and “fish from Lake Balaton”.

The starter never appeared – they had forgotten it, but we were so hungry we accepted the main course dishes. They were fantastic! Both were absolutely delicious. The lime sauce was perhaps more subtle than the one on the “fish from Lake Balaton”, but both were good.

The restaurant apologised for the missing course and gave us each a glass on “unicum” – which in my opinion is best avoided.

It was Sunday night and there was live music in the form of a guitarist who sang a range of songs in English from the 60’s onwards. He was very good and added to the evening, but the main thing we liked was the food – perhaps the best main course we had during our four night stay

We were looking for another restaurant, but enden up in Gotti, where we have had excellent food, good service and affordable prices. If you order roasted duck, beware : the portion is very very big as you get half the duck...

Location: in street with many restaurants; not specifically for Tourists, as many locals seem to be in and around the area especially straight after office hours.

Restaurant: Option of indoor or outside, street seating in 'pedestrianised' street - although mopeds (and occasional vehicles) do seem to appear at random! We sat inside; comfortable, reasonable décor, Best of George Benson on repeat...

Order: Two pizzas, one Pasta dish. This unfortunately is where things went down hill rapidly.
The pasta dish (Gnocchi) had clearly been finished well before the pizzas were ready and left on the side - the 'sauce' was congealed, and the whole dish more resembled chunky Porridge.
The Pizzas themselves were completely dry, tasteless and lacking any 'soul.' The toppings; ham and artichoke were minimal which is probably being over fair to the restaurant!

I cannot say for certain, but I have a horrible feeling that none of the dishes served were freshly made. The pizza bases were certainly dried out, indicative of freezing and the pasta dish additionally showed distinct signs of microwaving...

Service: Pleasant enough, if minimal. I requested chilli oil (to try to liven up the pizza) and was presented with a chopped up red chilli and a bowl of paprika powder... No oil on premises!

Price: Food, as above, plus two beers and two cokes. 9000 huf (approx. £26.00)

Conclusion: As per the title: Keep Walking. I could not recommend this restaurant unless everywhere else on the street was closed. Very disappointed.

We had two pizzas, 3 soft drinks, a beer and a cocktail for about 21 pounds so it was pretty cheap and the location was nice when sat outside. Unfortunately my husbands pizza had cold spots in it that indicated it had been taken out of the freezer and shoved in the microwave. Staff were hardly around so we didn't bother complaining. To be fair though the staff were very helpful when they were there. It was ok considering the price but nothing special.
