“You get what you pay for”
Reviewed August 16, 2010

Stayed at this hotel for two nights in June 2010. Wife was a little shocked at how small the room was, even though I had explained before booking. We paid 30 euros for two nights, so I guess you get what you pay for! Anyway, here is my review.
Pros: cheap, great location, very friendly people, spotlessly clean
Cons: size
We were the only ones on the second floor which is surprising for middle of the summer. They should have made rooms bigger in size, maybe they'd fill them more with customers. We had two suitcases and could not really open them both at the same time because of how small the room was. Bathroom is also tiny, you take a shower and the entire bathroom gets wet. Room was very airconditioned which was great because of the heat outside. Hotel is located a couple blocks from Oktagon which has plenty of shopping and restaurants. There is a Turkish fast food restaurant on the main road which had an amazing food. Oktagon area gets a littl rough around the edges in the evenings so be careful. It didn't bother us as we are used to night cities in the US. Our trip was great, but next time I'd probably stay elsewhere.

If you only want a clean place to sleep, go for the easyhotel! Of course, it's basic but it's really cheap (but don't fall on the trap of paying for TV, Internet, etc.!), very well located and the staff is friendly.
I was expecting a low comfort bedroom but II was very pleasantly surprised.
However (and unless toy really want to save money), it's worth paying for the bigger rooms with a window.

The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are in excellent conditions. The room size is small, but it is well designed for your luggage to fit under the bed. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location of the hotel is within the walking distance of major tourist sights. The hotel is situated on a quiet street, with a short walking distance to a major street where some of the cafes and restaurants are. All in all an excellent choice for a budget hotel in Budapest!

I stayed for 5 days in this hotel, and I affirm that it was one the best hotel I ever slept. it very cheap but it is clean as a five-star hotel. everything seems to be aseptic. the rooms are small and the toilet too but if u don't have to spend so much time in a hotel, it could be perfect. it doesn't provides everyday cleaning but if you want with a little charge extra you can get the room cleaned every day. you can have also other extra service with extra charge, for instance you can get extra towels, pay tv, air condition. If you don't want spend a lot of money for your holiday in budapest in hotels, I think that it is the best solution. it is located in the city center and you can reach the most important monuments in budabest by foot. The newly built Star Inn Hotel Budapest Centrum is situated 400 meters from the Opera. The Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica, Váci utca and the Chain Bridge are easily reachable on foot. This is one of the most pleasant hotels I ever stayed in. The building is only a few years old with a nice modern and warm design and nice views. Some rooms are facing the street, and some the courtyard. I had a standard room facing the street. this is a new hotel and it offered a good price for accommodation including a good breakfast. I was very impressed by the staff, cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. I want to add is the restaurant next door, cosy small restaurant serve good food at excellent price, set dinner consist of soup, main course and dessert (big scoop of tiramisu) for less than 900 Ft, no extra for sauce, bread.. I highly reccomand this hotel to everyone!

We stayed there 5 nights. Very good location, near metro station and lots of restaurants. Easy walking distance from lots of attractions (Heroes Square, Opera, Terror House...). Very clean, helpfull staff. We had a room on second floor facing the street, never heard a sound... Room far from spacious, but if you book with EasyHotel you are probably already aware of that!! We did not mind at all!! The bed was very comfy too...

Stayed here for two nights and not sure if I could have done any longer. There is really nothing in the rooms apart fr4om a window and a bed, nowhere to store clothes. You have to pay to get the room cleaned, for access to TV, to check in early/late or to have your bags stored. The worst thing was the temperature in the rooms, they were sweltering at night and very uncomfortable. There was apparently air con but it didn't seem to work even after I told the staff.

THat's all the bad stuff, on the other hand it is very central and it's easy to get to anywhere in the city via tram, metro or bus. The staff are very friendly and it is very cheap. It's your choice.
