What can i say??? The food was fantastic, the service was brilliant and the extras (mum's home made limoncello and sorbet) were amazing! Really recommend this restaurant on all counts.

“Mind Blowing Excellence.”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Small and cozy restaurant, Denes and Robert Singer, the owners welcome and serve you personally, warranting satisfaction all the time.

Food is exquisite, it's worth taking their suggestions!

Make sure to try the goose liver (fois gras for the posh ones :)) - if it's on the menu.

The steak I had was also excellent; especially the tasty cheese-filled croquettes on the side. The tiramisu was a perfect crowning of the evening.

Unforgettable experience, they just made us lovers of the place. Fortunately wework in the neighborhood - easy to come back often :)

“Amazing top notch food, brilliant service, charming decor”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Went to this delightful restaurant last night with my girlfriend.

It's beautiful albeit small, decorated with hundreds of champagne bottles - but in a cozy rather than a showy way.

We nabbed the last table - and saw other couples turned away due to lack of reservations as the night continued - so it is worth booking (although you can chance it on the night).

Service was impeccable and friendly, and due to us having a 'small' table the guy in charge was free and easy with freebies.

And the food was incredible - we had ghoulash followed by goose liver, which was a dream of fluffy tasty lightness complimented perfectly by sauces and equally fluffy mashed potato. Yum.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but this was far and away our best meal in Budapest. Lovely.

“Excellent Goose liver dish!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

A must-go in Budapest. The extraordinary service and welcoming reception made our dinner enjoyable every single moment of the evening.

We ordered the goose liver as an entry, but it turned out to be a fair size main dish for a couple. We tasted a balanced sweet white Hungarian wine that added a lot to the taste of the dish. Later, we were given some lemon sorbet and a couple of limoncello shots, all as a courtesy of the house. As everything was basically suggested by the owner I thought the bill would be a bit salty, which for my surprise was very affordable.

Definitely a place worth dining.

“Fantastic Service/Food”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

If you visit Budapest, and dont visit this place for a meal, then you are doing yourself a disservice. The food and the service are of a 1st class nature. Roberto the owner cant do enough to try and make sure your treated to a top class visit. If we received this type of service in UK you would return again and again. Not once, as a previous reviewer said, were my wife and I asked about our intentions to comment on trip advisor. Hundreds who have commented on this place cant all have been forced to comment!!!

Do yourself a favour and give this place a try. Booking in advance is a must, as there are only approx 8 tables, and this is Another aspect that makes this place all the more special.

Italian or Hungarian dishes. We tried both, and were more than satisfied. They cant do enough for you here.
