“Nice atmosphere, good food and a great selection of local wines”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

No reservations are taken but it's worth the wait or just get there early. I had the mushroom soup and then the mangalizia pork. The waiter was really good at selecting the right wine to go with the food

“Very good food”

Found this restaurant by chance. We were very happy with our last meal in Budapest. Food and service was wonderful. No reservation but we were there rather early

“All time favourite!”

Love the bread and salted butter appetizer; excellent food; there are always some vegetarian dishes; excellent wine. Nota bene: service is included.

“Terrific place to introduce yourself to Hungarian wine”
Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

Klassz is one of those "happening" restaurants that doesn't take bookings, and seems always to be packed, but can usually fit you in somewhere. There's a wine shop at the back, where a number of the tables are located, and wine is really what this place is about. Every wine on the list comes by the glass, and our waiters were able to recommend good choices of Hungarian wines with our starters and mains. Because it's by the glass you can try different styles of wine (and if you're us, slip in a cheeky Pinot Noir instead of dessert). There was a type of wine -Siller- on the menu we'd never heard of, and when we asked what it was the answer came as two glasses and a taste (it's sort of dark rose, if you're interested). The food is good quality typical Hungarian (soup, meat, foie gras), the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the toilets are clean and the wallpaper is good. Recommended for wine lovers
