Had a great late lunch here. Not many places you can get duck for ~$12. Would recommend to anyone in Budapest.

This was probably our best meal in Budapest. We shared duck foie gras for an appetizer; also grilled aubergine. My son had venison ribs with duck liver ragout and mashed potatoes, my daughter duck breast with sage, pears, creme fraiche. I had the wild boar stew with dumplings. We all loved our choices. And the wine they suggeted was also veyr good.
But while we got a lot of attention when we arrived, it was impossible to get a waiter later in the meal. We were never offered dessert - a shame since the choices looked good. This was a Saturday evening and they seemed overwhelmed.
We sat outside and it was fun to watch Budapest going by.
Great food and the local wines recommended by the servers was excellent. Knowledgeable staff and great decor. The prices are just right as well. Don't order the dessert though.
We had a 2 course meal with wine. All the wine was recommended to us by the polite and knowledgeable staff. We were so pleased with every wine they selected.
We thought our mains were very good, but didn't live up to the hype and expectation set on TripAdvisor, but the service, cheese and wine we had more than makes up for it.
Having experienced such a bad night with food the night before (Firkasz) we were slightly worried about our next attempt. We need not worry. From the moment we arrived we knew we had got it right. I had the most amazing pork which just melted in your mouth. All of our party had amazing meal and this restaurant was voted the best meal of the whole of our holiday! TOP CLASS!
