“Ok restaurant and bar”
Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner here one evening and it was good. Waiter was very attentive and when we ordered Sambucas at the end of the meal he took great pleasure in a pouring the burning liquid in to our glasses, a bit of theatre! Steak I had was very nice and the portions were large, dumplings for dessert weren't great though. Price was reasonable by UK standards.

“Tasty local food”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

8 of us visited here as part of a your for some local cuisine.
We each had the same set menu - goulash soup, with bread and tangy chillis for starter and then a main chargrilled steak chunks on peppers and potatos.
The food was very good and well sized, the local beer good also. Staff were friendly and helpful and we no issues.
Happily eat here again

“Nothing spectacular”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We went to this restaurant for a casual but business dinner. Waiters were very slow even when the place was completely empty except for us. Menu is pretty long, many choices, meals from Hungarian and other cuisines too. Talking about appetizers, the aubergine cream was tasty, but the tapas plate content seemed to be quite spontanious. I had quesadillas as a main course, which was tasty. We tried the cheesetake afterwards but it was really a disappointment. Not much taste, strange texture for a cheese cake. Parking in the area is very challenging. The restaurant is in the basement, no windows although it was not bothering us being winter and night.

“Great food and cosy atmosphere”
Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

We chanced upon this place just before ten at night and had a great night. Bit of a wait getting served but waitress was really helpful and recommended a vegetarian dish for me, like a Calzone with cambenbert and cranberry with a fantastic salad. The aubergine pate is also recommended. Hubby had wild boar which he enjoyed. Paid less than £30 for 2 courses each, drinks, coffee and tip.

“Good place for a late night beer, or to meet people”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This laid back place just off Oktogon is good for just sit down at daytime, reading, or hanging in the bar for a guinness. Food is also OK, typical bar-food, but on the good side. Sometimes very crowded, but it is actually best there when there are few people. Open till late, a sort of mix of Americans, Hungarians..All kinds of people, and it differs..One of those places you come back to.
