Budapest is definitely the city of Statues on every corner you will find another statue with more history to tell. Each has its own background and it is fascinating to walk around them all.

On Pest side, from Elizabeth Bridge to the Chain Bridge, you can walk by the Danube River. It is a nice view on the Buda side and Castle. Like many places in the city you will come across some statues. The girl and the dog is one of them.

Our kids were enthusiastic to find this statue.

If you have kids, it might appreciate a bit more the visit of the city if you continue after the Chain Bridge and the Parliament. Look for Honvéd tér it's a park with swings and modules.

One of the manue statues you can find on the promenade near the Danube. It is a great statue, although you might probably pass it without knowing.

I like this sculpture because not only does it play out a scene we are all familiar with but between the girl sitting on a seat and the dog at a short distance, there are several different positions you could pose for a photo.

You could sit next to the girl, you could pat the dog, you could pretend to be pulling the ball out of the dog's mouth, you could put your arm around the girl, you could be sitting low behind the dog as though you were playing with it, you could pretend to be having a conversation with the girl - so many more I'm sure, oh the fun of it.

The sculpture is located on the Danube embankment area, almost in front of Vigado Square - happy snapping!
