We were made very welcome and when asked for a wine recommendation the Sommelier brought a selection of wines for us to try and had great knowledge of their provenance. Food and service was exceptional.

We ate here on a Friday evening and, surprisingly, we were the only table. The food was lovely, not Hungarian particularly but tasty "european" standard. The prices were decent (two courses and drinks for two came to 40 Euro), and unlike most places we've eaten in Budapest the service charge wasn't added by default allowing you to tip as you.pleased.
Recommend a visit here rather than some of the other more tourist-centred restaurants along the Danube.

We made a short visit in Budapest and planned our dinner at this small restaurant. It was a very good decision. The duck/goose liver was great (especially the goose one which was just like a mousse) and the main courses- duck breast, goose leg, chicken duo and mangalica spare ribs were delicious! All of these were accompanied by very good wines recommended by the waiter (sommelier). Congratulation for the owner, for all the restaurant stuff. I recommend this restaurant and if we will another weekend in Budapest, for sure we'll go in Carne di Hall again.

After our arrival to Budapest, the first restaurant we experienced there was this small but very classical one, which is located next to St. Anne's church, right cross the Danube river from the Parliament. At first the Hungarian price seemed prohibiting, but once it was translated into dollars or euros, it was surprisingly inexpensive. The lunch many was specifically good. A 3-course meal was < $10/person. The service staff was somewhat nervous with foreigners initially, but they were polite and courtesy.
The geographic location of the restaurant is certainly a plus.

We has a great experience at Carne Di Hall. I had the filet mignon and it was delicious. All the food tasted great, including the starters, the main dishes and desserts.

The service was also excellent. The restaurant offers a great selection of wines. The waiter will take the time to make a suggestion based on what you eat, which is a nice added touch.

We ate outside, where you get a nice view of the parliament building and the Danube, and also a nice cozy ambiance.

A great overall experience. I recommend to everyone for an memorable dining experience.
