“Terrible service and food”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Horrid Experience. The design of the place is lovely. However, food is just bland, nothing special and the service is terrible.
Waiter followed us and threatened us to pay the full 12% service after leaving the place. We had paid 10% and only €0.50 was due. Horrible place and experience.

“Perfect for a light lunch”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Most restaurants on the Castle side emphasize full meals. That is available here but we wanted a light lunch. The Greek salad with grilled Greek cheese and the eggplant dip with pita were ideal choices. This s a tourist restaurant with pictures of entrees but the food quality exceeds the typical tourist restaurant.

“Great place for lunch”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Lots of choice on the menu, excellent smoothies (!), pleasant staff offering good and efficient service. Free wifi, nice interior and very central, yards from main square on hill. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

“Best eatery on the Buda side”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Lovely selection of food at a reasonable price. Good service. Probably the best food we had all holiday especially as I am a vegetarian. Most restaurants in Budapest do not cater for Veggies.

“Modern gem in the castle area”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

On a very hot day in the Castle area of Budapest most restaurants were offering variations on goulash, goose, duck and fried crackling. Cafe Miro on the other hand had light salads and sandwiches, fabulous fruity drinks and teas and a wonderful airy decor. The furnishings were really funky and colorful; the lighting bright and well positioned.
If you want traditional Hungarian food, give it a miss. If you want a tasty and healthy meal this is the place.
