Description: A little Greece on the riverbank of the Danube... Dionysos moved to the Pest bank of the River Danube on New Year's Eve 1993 and has since delighted the dwellers of our city with delicacies of Greek cuisine and delicious wine of its vineyards. The air is filled with the fragrance of char-grilled meats and fishes, fresh-cut vegetables and crispy-baked home style bread. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere, diners chit-chat casually around the tables, which blends pleasantly into the melodies of Greek music playing in the background. It is good to be in this restaurant. The pampering feeling of authentic entertainment accompanies the guests from the moment they enter up until they leave. We hope you visit us soon so that we may entertain you for a few hours here in little Greece of Budapest!

This Greek restaurant is an absolute must during your stay in Budapest. The staff are so friendly and accommodating - they make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. We were served by a number of different waiters throughout the evening and everyone was willing to take the time to make recommendations and attend to your needs. We requested a table outside and advised if we were too cold we come inside - they gave us blankets. The atmosphere was lovely and the food to die for. We had mussels and feta baked to start and a sharing platter for main - which I highly recommend. Plenty of food and this way you get to try a little of everything. Wine was great also. Complimentary bread and fruit during meal and a lily at the end.

Highly recommend. One of the best Greek meals I have had with a top notch service delivering it.

We came across the taverna on a walk along The Danube and so glad we did! The menu was extensive with all the dishes you would expect. We had Kalamari for starters and Gyros for mains. It transported us back to summer holidays on Rhodes. Authentic tastes and ingredients. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The taverna is decorated beautifully and it is spotlessly clean. Well worth a visit if you love Greece and it's food.

Sitting here in a sunny day, look over the Gellert Hills and the rest of the scenic view already and enjoy the Greece food and a glass of ozo will make your day. The total price for one will get to 5000 forint and more.

We were lead here by other Tripadvisor reviews and it is just as described. Food was plentiful and of good quality. The restaurant provided real options for vegetarians, which are often hard to come by in local Hungarian restaurants (unless you really like iceberg lettuce). Staff are clearly used to getting people in and out, but were friendly enough. The wine list isn't all that big, but it does the job. A nice night out, and even better in warmer weather when you can sit outside and take in the view.

We were desperated to find a place to eat vegetarian on a sunday (overall load of restaurant/snack bar are closed on sunday) for lunch and ended at that place which was right below our hotel (bellevue appartement). They have some quite decent vegetarian options(some other places around have none). Staff if nice (trying really hard to be anyway), although the staff might be a bit pushing you to order more and more but with good manner. The location is nice, on the Danube. I thought the food was good, but not crazy good , a bit greasy. they should grill more of the food instead of frying everything. (we did only have have vegeterian food, no meat of fish) And yes it is overpriced for Budapest. (especially for vegetarian food)You are definitly paying twice the price for everything (we ended up paying 40 euros for the two of us, vegetarian dishes with starters, dessert and ouzo) but coming from Amsterdam it was not choking as it s the half what you pay there, and since it was our first food experience in budapest. So I ll say it was overall a satisfaying experience.
