“Nothing special , way too much oil .”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

We ordered fresh mixed salad (which was very good and big portion) and Minestrone soup (which tasted as water with vegetables in it , but not as a soup) for starters . For main dishes we had "Lasagne al forno" and bolognese , both were OK , nothing spectacular nor awful . What bothered us the most is the amounts of oil in our dishes , it could be much better if they were not soaked in oil , but maybe it's just our opinion .
Anyway it's OK restaurant with reasonable prices .

“Lovely restaurant”
Reviewed June 4, 2014

Make sure to go here when you have time to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine or two. It's a great atmosphere and worth spending an evening. I had ravioli and my husband had pizza - both were delicious. The wine selection and wine rack with a spiral staircase was also very impressive. Highly recommended!

“Still in the top 3 in the city”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

Used to be out on its own as number one in town. The Italian owner then got into TV cooking shows and became a bit of a TV celebrity in Hungary which was good for him but understandably led to him taking his eye off the ball slightly with regards to the day to day running of the restaurant. This in turn led to a couple of other places in town being able to close the gap and in one case, actually overtake. It's still some of the best food in Budapest however, although top level food of course means top level prices, so if you want to eat with the big boys, be ready to pay like the big boys! Well worth it for a special occasion, book in advance, it's not a walk in place.
