It's probably one of, if not the best, Indian restaurants in the city if you're used to the high standards of Indian restaurants in the UK. Don't be deterred by the humble interior. We come here frequently and advise others to do the same.

Don't be put off by the décor. This place serves delicious food, excellent for vegetarians, service was quick and the price was unbelievably cheap. The menu was a little confusing to read but we will definitely be eating there again.

A non-fussy, simple yet good quality restaurant, which has a lot of support both from locals and from the discerning tourist. We arrived on a rainy Monday evening and were greeted with the small downstairs space....the tables are actually upstairs. I consider myself a discerning diner and I certainly couldn't see any big problem with the decor, in fact it was quite ethnic and bohemian. Indian trinkets and ornaments of the various gods on the table etc...it all went to make a more persoanl experience. The lady serving knows exactly what she's doing, she is calm and matter-of-fact and you won't get too many over the top smiles etc but she was both fast and courteous, so I can't fault her at all. The Sikh chef is very good indeed, fast and tasty. I can recommend the chicken makhani as the sauce was rich, with layers of taste and the meat was sensational. Mushroom pillau and peshwari naan were also splendid. There was a mix of diners when we arrived and it made for a cosmoplitan atmosphere. It is small, maybe 7 or so tables and that helped the ambiance. It's in a non-touristy part of the city and that added to the experience...you feel as if you are eating with the locals in that respect. 2 main courses, 2 breads, a side dish, 2 beers and 2 wines cost 30 euros!! Great price for what we had.
