“Stylish, classy and delicious!”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

Me and my boyfriend ate here in May 2012. We had a delightful evening. The restaurant wasn't super busy, we had a waiter to cater our needs - we tried Hungarian sparkling wine, a pleasant surprise! I had to goose breast for main and it was juicy and tender. The evening as a whole was thoroughly enjoyable and we would return again.

“High quality, business environment, haute but not French”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

I enjoyed a delicious dinner with attentive service from the "french" menu that I would describe as absolutely delicious and comporary, but not very French. The chef borrowed from several food cultures to preparte original and very creative dushes. I had a goat cheese salad that consisted og goat cheese blened with cream cheese (removed some of the pungency) and chives. The dish was accented with fresh dill, filed greens and quite a lot of finely cubed green apple. It was fantastic. The main course was what I would descibe as "scotch brtoth" with roasted goose breast subbing for lamb. again dressed with dill, filed greens and fresh parsley. The barley/onion/carrott thick barley base was more Scottish than French, but absolutely delicious. Bock Jos. Villányi Cabernet Franc 2008 provide a warm glow for the meal. This is an inexpensive wine that could pass for a better quality bordeaux. Chocolate tart and espresso finished the wonderful meal. Total cost incl 10% gratuity $113 and well worth the cost. And excellent choice for a quiet evening in Budapest in a formal-feeling restaurant where coats and tie is seen, but not required. Note: Starwood SPG members may receive a 20% discount on food items. “good food but no atmosphere”
Reviewed March 30, 2012

large restaurant with excellent food. Part of a hotel and most guests appeared to be of the business type - possibly staying in the hotel. Not many in it on the night we visited and while we enjoyed the very good food we did not hang around and went elsewhere for coffee and cognac and buzz!

“lacking in soul”
Reviewed February 26, 2012

We had lunch on a cold, snowy day, expecting a warm and welcoming atmosphere but... The food was good and the service attentive but no soul to the room whatsoever. The main dining area had a large cloakroom which seemed totally out of synch with the nature of the restaurant and the general feeling was of quiet boredom! It may be different in the evening or during the summer months (I cannot comment) but all in all it was rather a disappointment. Yes, it was expensive and for that reason, even more, we felt left down.
