This restaurant is located on the "Champs-Elysées" of Budapest, it's a very lively place and always crowded.
We found it in a french tourist guide and we decided to eat there. We weren't disappointed, the servers are friendly and very efficient, you'll have free bread and butter to wait for your dishes.
The dishes are beautiful and very good, it's a king of French and Italian cuisine but with Hungarian accents (such as spices, herbs ...) and the result is amazing.
Very good value for money, for example, for 2 appetizers, 2 glass of wine, a bottle of water and 2 dishes you'll have to pay beween 8000Ft and 10000Ft (service included) (between 25 and 35 euro).
We loved it so we decided to return there the next day and it was again very good! We highly recommand it!

The only problem is that it's a non reservation place, so if you arrive after 8pm you'll certainly have to wait standing at the bar.

We decided to eat at this restaurant after reading some very positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed! Lovely surroundings, small & intimate. Helpful & friendly staff, & beautiful food - great value for money too.

This is a modern cafe-style venue owned by the Hungarian Wine Society. Food is excellent with lots of choice, including the ubiquitous goose liver. Obviously the wine list is extensive! Service is good and wine recommendations are made. Good location, slick decor - ticks all the boxes.

The food was a terrific updating of classic Hungarian cuisine; the wine selection was terrific, which was unsurprising, given that the restaurant is associated with a wine distributor, and in fact has a pleasant back room where you can taste a wide variety of Hungarian wines. The service was pleasant and informative; we asked our waiter to recommend wines, and he paired them beautifully with our courses. Nor did he select the priciest options. he further reviewed each charge when presenting the bill. We dined early so as to catch the opera (which always starts at 7pm here), and so had no problem getting a table, but it is definitely best to make a reservation.

We visited on the recommendation of our guidebook, and it was the best meal we had all holiday. The food was excellent, the general atmosphere was very pleasant, the selection of Hungarian wines was very good. You have to get there early (we arrived around 7) unless you want to wait at the bar for a table - they don't do reservations, but then I imagine sitting at the bar with a nice glass of wine isn't the worst thing in the world.
