The hotel was clean & friendly and could not be bettered for it's location to all the historic features of the town & the Basilica itself. Our room was of a decent size for a four day break and better than some we have used in higher priced hotels in London. The breakfast was adequate but the coffee was too strong. I took to ordering tea and using the hot water to mix a brew with Kenco 2 in 1. I also recommend taking a travel kettle if you want a brew at any other time.

Everything is very good.
Reception - 24 hours manned desk - any problems and they attend to them
Free Internet in rooms
Super cleaning
Some shower bits provided
Nice comfy beds
Free safe

Breakfast is just great - choice of cereals, sausages and etc, FRUIT. Just like at their hotel website.

You need to be a bit persistent to ask for your tea/coffee when you have your breakfast

Staff was good and the manager Kata was just super friendly and helpful
(tip - most Hungarians are not that helpful so to see someone smiling and actually explaining something to you was really good!)

The only minus - no TEA/Coffee facilities in the room

Central location is just great – right next to the beautiful St. Basilica cathedral. Must say that its bells were awesome but sometimes a bit annoying when I wanted to sleep!

Good Shower, beds,etc

The Italian Restaurant next door served the worst fresh salad I ever had…And their Minestrone soup was a kind of new version of its Italian original.

Very nice food was served to me in the little café/restoraount called Planeta – the square with H&M shop and then you go to right a long the main shopping street. Passing the jewelry shop, etc
Big plus – they are working until late , last client and serve good food there. So I was happy to give good tips.

Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Impeccably clean throughout the hotel, our room was modern, bright and airy. TV a little ancient but who wants TV when you're in such a great location - 50metres from the Cathedral, literally just around the corner from some of Budapest's most popular restaurants and right next door to a great wine bar with jazz pianist. Danube and chain bridge, giving easy access to the Castle District by the funicular, are 3 minutes on foot and Parliament is a 10 min stroll through streets and squares littered with impressive architecture.
Use the Hop On, Hop Off bus (Ersztebet Ter, 100metres from hotel) to discover the city.

We stayed for three nights. The location is very good, in Pest on a quiet traffic restricted street. I don't think you could get a hotel closer to the Basilica, which is right on it's doorstep. If you have a room at the front of the hotel you will get a great view of the Basilica lit up in the evenings. Easy walking distance to the river, and shopping and dining found around Andrassy Street, Deak Ferenc Square and Vaci Street. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Rooms are simple, but very comfortable with everything you need, bathrooms are good quality and seemed to have been re-done recently. They do a very good buffet breakfast. We paid around £75 per night, which I think is really good value given what this hotel offers. The only negative feedback I can give (which is more for the Hotels benefit rather than to deter fellow travellers) is that while the reception staff were efficent and professional when we needed help, they were not overly friendly.

Above says it all. Rooms disappointingly small. Elderly TV with poor reception. No ash tray although a smoking room - got given a saucer for entire 3 nights. Limited toilet roll and soap supply - rationed. Staff were friendly though and very well placed for great restaurants and the river - so no complaints really. Just a few modifications would have stepped it up a notch.
