Very good location. Metro and bus stops one block away. Also convenient for on foot city discovery. With closed windows no street noises at all !!
Basic room, with minibar and safe. High ceiling. Hotel is 1 no-smoking zone !
Hard mattress, too flat pillows.Large bathroom, hand-held shower somewhat impractical. Basic breakfast with little or no fresh fruits.
English speaking Staff are very friendly and helpful. Check-in time strictly 2pm.
Excellent hotel price/quality.

The reception staff are really helpful, friendly, and speak faultless English. Large room, great breakfast, good location in the city.

We rented some bikes and thoguht we'd have to leave them chained up outside during the night but the hotel offered to hold them in the luggage room for a night - peace of mind for the security of the bikes :)

The hotel also offer a service where they will arrange a taxi collection to and from the airport/hotel. My conscience tells me taxis are bad for the environment when there are busses etc, but if you arrive/depart during the night, then this means less faff and the price is set in advance so no rip-offs.

:)

Hotel is located in front of St. Stephan's church, in a nice square, close to terraces. Being a family with 2 kids, we took 2 rooms (a double and a twin). The double one was small, with only about 1 meter around the bed, with a small bathroom and a very very small sink (I couldn't even wash my face without splashing water all around). The twin one was larger, with a big bathroom. Both rooms were pretty new, with TV, AC, and pretty good sleep conditions. Just a walking distance from main shopping area and from Danube, where you can have a nice dinner on a ship ;).
Breakfast ok.

Very small bathroom, no free wifi (cost is 5 eur/day or 7 eur/3 days). Eating area very small, so you can have the "chance" to wait to have your breakfast... No car acces to the hotel...The closest parking is about 3-400 meters away from hotel, on other street, for about 1.5 eur/hour, so you will need to carry your luggages by walking :(. For the 2nd key of your room, they ask 10 eur deposit...while other hotels ask you if you want to keep the keys as souvenir...

On the check-out day, we asked at the reception to leave us the rooms for another 1-2 hours after the check-out, which was not so much... But they didn't agreed :(:(

I'm not so sure I would recommend this hotel, except its nice location...

We stayed at this hotel in June 2012 for three nights, we found it on Trip Advisor and had our travel agent book it for us. On arrival we were greeted by a frendly face who spoke English which was good. We were checked in ok and quickly as we wanted to explore as quickly as possible. The location was great not far to walk to buses, sites around town and great variety of restaurants close by. We liked the Italian one in the same street and went there twice for dinner, pizza and pasta was lovely, service great, friendly staff. Our room was very roomy and bathroom had plenty of room not small at all. Staff were very helpful and curtious. Breakfast was varied each morning and ample, we did not go hungry to start the day. We would recommend this hotel to our friends or family should they be there. We would stay again ourselves. Good job, well done keep up the standard and you will do well.

Room Tip: We had a room that faced other buildings on the back of the hotel. No view but at the time we were t...

We made a last second booking here after a bad experience somewhere else. We opted for the larger room overlooking the Basilica because there was three of us. Greg, the guy working the front desk was so welcoming and even at the late hour set up a cot for us. The location is ideal, right across from the Basilica (where people often meet infront of in the evenings to have a glass of wine), it was also a close walk to the hop on hop off bus tour stop number one. Noise wasn't an issue, the room was clean and spacious, and the staff were outstanding!!!

We stayed here in April as a group of 6 friends. The hotel was very well situated, close to the Basilica as the name suggests. We had a good sized room which was clean and comfortable, overlooking the inner courtyard. My only complaint was that the room was very hot on the first night as the air conditioning didn't seem to be working but after that we slept with the window open which was much better. We loved Budapest and had a really great stay, and would definitely return to this great value hotel.

We stayed just one night at the Hotel Central Basilica. When we arrived we were very please at the appearance from the outside with very nice clean glass doors. The reception area is small but does contain a small sitting area with a sofa. Our room was facing into the courtyard which was not really a courtyard but looked on to the glass roof of a store. Room was very quiet and I did not hear anything during the night. Window was very large so room was bright and there were very high ceilings. Our bathroom was extremely large and tiled. The rooms on this corner seemed to be like this.) The bathtub was large but the shower attachment was in the middle of the tub about waist high. There was a clear plastic folding piece for showering. Unfortunately it did not keep the water in and after kneeling down to wash my hair under the shower head so I could use two hands, I had quite a flood in the room. When my husband showered we put a towel between the door and doors and it was fine.

Room included breakfast which was in the restaurant in the basement. Nice clean bright room. The breakfast consisted of a good assortment from fruit and cereal to breads cheeses etc.

Internet was available for a fee. We chose not to use it.

Location was only about 1 minute to the Basilica and a very nice pedestrian street with many cafes.

All in all we were very happy with the room.
