A little bit bigger than life size, between the Hungarian parliament and the U.S. Embassy, a symbol. Better photos in winter when the leaves don't hide the parliament building in the background.

This statue receives at least 1,000 pictures a day. If you have time to people watch, it is really amusing to see all the poses, from imitating his gesture, to taking his hand, to almost climbing the statue to be in his arms.

Don't forget another American 'hero', Columbo (Peter Falk), at the end of Falk Miksa street, on the other side of the parliament building.

Bronze Ronald Reagan stands on the sidewalk at the end of the park with huge Soviet monument. Reagan seems to be nice, pleasant grandpa. Statue is interesting for selfies for Americans and others. Statue is not artistic product it is standard work for promotion some political ideas.

This simple statue is a designated TripAdvisor attraction, a monument honoring the one person who probably had the single most important influence on freeing millions of Central Europeans from oppressive regimes behind the Iron Curtain—President Ronald Reagan. Hungarians recognized Reagan’s influence regarding eliminating Soviet control of the country, and erected the life-size bronze statue. The statue faces Saint Stephen Cathedral in the forward distance and Parliament behind. It is located, appropriately, in Szabadság tér (Liberty Square), near the end of Andrassy. This is an excellent photo op, especially after visiting Terror Museum and the Iron Curtain and Berlin Wall monuments just outside the museum.

Didn't expect to find a US President in Budapest! He looked familiar as we approached but it didn't make sense at first. But not surprising given the other things in the area: a Soviet war memorial and a US embassy.

An elegant representation of the man. One of many lovely contemporary statues in Budapest. I think it's worth taking a look.
