The rooms on the street are directly above an outdoor pub where the district taxi drivers drink and shout all night. Even with both windows closed their horns and drunken fighting kept us awake all night. 40 euros a night is a scandal to pay for a hostel anyway, but especially when they are renting rooms over a pub. The public areas of this dump of a hostel are filled with empty bottles and rubbish. This people who rent these rooms should be ashamed of themselves.

I spent 5 days last summer in this guesthouse, i found best cheap possibility. The house is very close to the center of Budapest (about 200 m from famous Parliament) - about minute walking to the metro station, in the second floor of the house. You can free use internet (WIFI), shared 2 very clean bathrooms and toilets, kitchen (well-equipped) or courtyard gallery. The 5 rooms are clean, spacious and modern furnished. Staff is very helpful, friendly and english-speaking. If you are seeking cheap, good-located and nice accommodation, go there.

positives- location , near parliamnet building & a metro-tram station,
very very clean, friendly staff who speak excellent english & will come if u text them, price is reasonable, rooms are very good, free internet, kitchen to use & hot water in showers!

negatives - staff only there a few hours, one of the locks on bathroom broken , heating way to hot for me but noneof these a real problem. bUT this place is very hard to find!!! there was no sign outside of building so had to rely on street & number, there is a small intercom with "origo" on names list, the hostel is on 2nd floor (i think) of large building, go in lift then look for hotel, again no signs., bear this in mid & i would reccomend this place still

This is a great place for a budget-friendly vacation:
- Cute rooms
- Clean bathrooms (all guests share 2 bathrooms)
- Tidy and well-equipped kitchen area
- In-house computer
- GREAT location! (near Parliament)

The only thing to keep in mind is that, for a single traveller, it's not a terrifically good deal, as you must pay for an entire room. This is not a hostel, so you cannot share the room as in a dorm room in a hostel. This guesthouse makes the most sense in a group of 2-4 people.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms contain everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped and the bath is very clean. The noise is not a problem even if centrally located. All major objectives can be reached by foot from the hostel. The best price/quality ratio you can ever get!

A second floor flat in an apartment building which has been converted into a small hostel. The front door opens off a walkway around the building's central courtyard (a feature of many Budapest buildings) and leads into a central communal kitchen, off which open four bedrooms (a twin, two doubles and a triple), a bathroom/toilet (with a shower in the bath) and a shower room/toilet.

Good: Can't be beaten on location - Central Budapest, 2 minutes walk from Parliament, Kossuth tér metro station and the No.2 tram; fantastic value for money; generally clean and hygienic; clean bed linen and towels are provided; the cooker, fridge and washing machine are all in good condition and appear to work well; the only staff member we encountered was very friendly and spoke excellent English (she was waiting for us on our arrival - we never saw any member of staff again for the whole week we were there!); the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of storage space; good lighting and plenty of electric sockets in the room; there is no noise from outside - the rest of the building is residential and quiet and no traffic noise penetrates from the street (which is a pretty quiet one anyway, although there is a bar in the building next door); there is a small but good supermarket about 2 minutes walk away (open 7am-7pm most days, 7am-1pm on Sundays).

Bad: Can be difficult to find on arrival (the street door is unmarked with only a small label on one of the bellpushes next to it and there are no signs within the building except a small sign on the door of the hostel itself); the lock of the hostel door is dodgy and can take ages to open (we had a nasty moment the first time we arrived back late at night, before we realised that it did unlock with a bit of coaxing); a family of cockroaches appears to live under the washing machine, and also makes occasional forays into the bathroom; the shower room door has no lock and the toilet seat is parting company with the toilet (the bathroom is much better, but the shower in the bath isn't mounted on the wall and therefore needs to be handheld to use); the window of our room opened onto the walkway and we therefore couldn't really leave it open; the walls are quite thin and you can be disturbed by other guests (although nobody there when we were was particularly noisy).
