My husband and I loved our 4 days with Albert in Budapest. The rooms are beautiful, the a/c great, Albert's company is charming and amusing, and the city is beautifully preserved with a grand, old world feel. The b and b is located in one of the best parts of town and has all mass transit options just around the corner so sightseeing is very easy. Albert seems to get very fun and interesting quests so conversation at breakfast is a lot of fun.The restaurants are all making an effort for lighter, modern food, so we were not overwhelmed with meat and potatoes unless we wanted to be. ( Wow, those central Europeans really love their bacon and ham : D ) .There are some very groovy restaurant designs so try to visit the redone/post- communist ones for a very cool vibe. The baths are a must, a totally budapest experience, and not to be missed. Also the House of Terror is an essential visit, truly chilling, and really puts our American lives in perspective. We look forward to our return!
