Just returned from a stay at Kapital Inn. Everything about the inn is exceptional. The rooms are clean, well appointed, and very spacious. Albert could not have been more gracious and helpful. He was there in the mornings to offer suggestions and tips about what to do and how to get around. He prepared anything you could want for breakfast from omelets, pancakes, eggs and bacon--you name it. The outdoor space is lovely in the evenings. Attention to detail is impeccable. The greatest asset to the place though, is Albert. Highly recommend staying here.

Had a great time during my first visit to the city. Kapital Inn is in a great location on the Pest side to walk to all the most popular sites as well as see the nightlife around the 'ruined pubs'. The staff at Kapital Inn are terrific with tips and suggestions about what to see and do in the city.

Room Tip: if you are flexible with your travel dates, just ask, and you might get a better room during your tr...

We had a marvelous experience at the Kapital Inn. Albert, the proprietor, provides top notch personalized service, great ideas about things to do, instructions on how to navigate uniquely Hungarian things like the public baths, etc. Plus stylish, clean, modern rooms, free WiFi, delicious omelettes for breakfast - what more could you want?

My husband and I stayed at the Kapital Inn for the first time during the late summer of 2010 (see previous review). With the help of Albert's expert advise and attentive care, we fell in love with Budapest and returned in 2011 and 2012, each time at the Kapital Inn. On our most recent trip we travelled with another couple who, after reading the reviews, asked whether or not the Kapital Inn really lived up to the hype. Although I assured them that it did, they were skeptical; after all - those reviews do seem a little too good to be true! Less than one hour at the Kapital Inn was all they needed to believe what we already knew. After hectic trips to Vienna and Prague, the Kapital Inn was an oasis. Sitting on the terrace, Albert offered sightseeing tips, restaurant recommendations, and relaxing conversation. He offered (and later delivered) taxi assistance from the wine festival (much appreciated); he provided help with train tickets; lent guide books; prepared extraordinary breakfasts; and most of all, he welcomed us into his home and treated us like family. I will admit to having previously considered staying at the Four Seasons, Gresham Palace. After all, how could you go wrong with that? But there certainly is no Albert there, and until there is, all of our stays in Budapest will be at the Kapital Inn!

Our third year in a row in Budapest, and our third year in a row at the Kapital Inn. Obviously we love the city, and we equally love the accommodations.

Budapest is a spectacular city. Much to see, much to do. And the proprietor of the Kapital Inn, Albert, is the key to experiencing all of it. He is Hungarian born, so knows the culture well. But he speaks better English than most that are born to it. He spends a lot of time with all of his guests to understand what they are interested in, then tailors suggestions to sights, restaurants, shopping, baths and clubs that fit what his guests are interested in.

Albert will arrange transportation for you. Make dinner reservations for you. Give you detailed directions to sights that you wish to see. He will give you detailed instructions on how to utilize the local spas/baths. He will give you insight to the Hungarian culture. In essence, he is your personal concierge.

I have never stayed at any property in the world where I have been given the service and attention that I have received at the Kapital Inn. That's why we have been back three years straight.

Before we stayed at the Kapital Inn for the first time, we read all of the great reviews about it and felt that it was too good to be true. Then we stayed here for the first time and realized that the reviews and reviewers were absolutely correct. It *is* that good.

Thanks Albert for yet another great Budapest experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kapital Inn, not far off the prime boulevard Andrássy Avenue, and within an easy stroll to a Metro stop. Albert is a wonderful host, very informative about his city, with restaurant/sightseeing suggestions, cooks a mean omelette for breakfast along with fruit, bread and cereal, and has the fridge well stocked with complimentary drinks in the general kitchen area. He meets his guests at the front door, humps your bags up the flights of stairs and takes them down on your departure. Pleasant company and we enjoyed relaxing on the roof terrace late in the day. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the shower is great and nothing is a problem for Albert. Make it your destination in Budapest, you won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the The Kapitol Inn for a few nights in late May and were more than please with its accommodations. Albert, the owner, was extremely helpful, generous and informative. He recommended excellent restaurants, fun activities to do and beautiful sights to see. Each and every recommendation was offered with a native and genuine perspective, which allowed us to experience Budapest unlike the average tourist.

The bed and breakfast was immaculately clean and modernized. The building, in which the B&B is located, was charming, historic and centrally located. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Out trip to Budapest would not have been as fulfilling, adventurous and culturally stimulating if we had not met Albert and made the choice to stay at the Kapitol Inn.
