Value for money, well located, clean, friendly hotel in easy reach of all the main attractions and near public transport and the "Hop on Hop off" tourist bus routes. Use the Airport run Shuttlebus - reliable and great value door-to-door service. We booked online for about £24 return for two. Taxis are about the same cost - each way. My wife and I, in our 50's, stayed 3-nights at the Atrium on B&B basis. Not a Hilton breakfast, but reasonable choice of hot and cold food. Drinks prices very reasonable - £1.80 pint of lager or glass of wine.It isn't luxury but a good deal for the price. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to friends. Budapest compares with many of the world's most beautiful cities - divided by the stunning River Danube - just a little too hot when we were there 40C plus. Can't wait to go back!

I stayed at the Atrium Fashion Hotel for one night as part of a business trip. On first impressions, the hotel is great, the atrium looks impressive and the staff are helpful. The room itself was fairly small and had no natural light. The hotel facilities are non existent outside of breakfast, it is not possible to get a drink or relax in the atrium and because of this the hotel always feels dead with no atmosphere.
By the evening our bathroom started to smell of sewage and it was apparent that there were drainage issues that the cleaners try to cover up by using alot of bleach.
It's a good base, and for the rate we paid, you cannot complain. It is however, not a 4 star hotel. 3 star at very best. Bare that in mind.

We stayed there for 2 nights and was very impressed with the Atrium
Very clean with helpful staff. The vicinity was good, obviously a little noisy
because of its situation
Breakfast was lovely with variety
Close to lots of interesting places
We would definitely book again

nice hotel, modern, caring, fresh, clean and very friendly staff.

One small downside is if you have room with windows that let a lot of sound through it, you're a light sleeper, I do not choose room at the street

Stayed for four nights last weekend. Stayed with friends in two rooms. First impressions of the hotel were good.

The positives are.

Rooms modern, good location close to a metro station, trams and buses. Good price and the rooms were immaculately clean and the cleaners did a brilliant job every day. The rooms have a nice decor and the hotel has a modern feel. Per arranged pick up from the airport worked great and the price was very fair. The rooms all have a safe that is free to use along with kettle and mini bar. Free tea and coffee kits are available on the tray. Nice modern bathrooms.

They have a secure luggage room to leave your belongings if you have a late flight.

The downside for me was the following.

Wifi did not work in the two rooms we had. 302 and 303. It seemed the outside rooms (windows to the outside) are too far away from the router. Most of the rooms have internal windows looking out onto the atrium. This was highly frustrating when we expected to have wifi. It meant us going into the corridor every time we wanted to check something.

They only have one iron and ironing board for the whole hotel. For a four star hotel this is ridiculous. We ended up purchasing a cheap iron and using the desk. For some this is not a big deal but a four star hotel should have an iron in every room.

The beds have plastic mattress protectors which cause you to sweat. They are the kind of sheets used for someone who is incontinent. Not very pleasant.

The breakfast is free but not great. The man looking after the tables is scary and can make you feel uncomfortable.

As mentioned by others there appears to be an issue with drainage. The shower quickly fills up and if you are not careful can overflow.

All in all I would stay again but ask for a room overlooking the atrium.

We stayed here for two nights. Bedrooms and shared areas clean and modern. Reception staff were brilliant with organising taxis and trips. Breakfast was good. Free wifi a definite plus!!
Would recommend this hotel for a city break.

We stayed here for a 5 day break for my husbands 40th Birthday. I contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to arrange a bottle of bubbly for our room so they were aware it was a special occasion. On arrival we checked in and realised the TV ddn't work. Although this was resolved (we moved to another room on the 3rd day) it should've been resolved sooner, or the TV should have been checked and fixed before hand. The rooms are small and slightly claustrophobic and beds are hard. There are better located hotels.........this one is slightly out of the way. Rooms were very clean, good maid service and ok breakfast. Some discussions with reception staff were misunderstood - lost in translation I think. I'm not usually a fussy, critical person but having paid full price for this holiday (i.e. it wasn't a cheap, last minute deal) for a special celebration I was disappointed that things weren't spot on, especially as the staff new this - I wasn't expecting preferential treatment or complimentary extras, just what I'd paid for. I wouldn't recommend this hotel or return again. Just a small tip - my first choice was The Promenade Hotel but unfortunately there was no availability for the dates we wanted. Stay here instead of The Atrium as The Promenade Hotel is in a much better location and more 'plush'.
