“Central suites of Budapest”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

The Regency suites hotel is perfect starting point for exploring Budapest's cultural heritage and history. It is located in central Pest, near most of cultural monuments. The old town Buda is also easy to get by subway. Station on Deak Ter is only 200 m away from hotel.
We arrived by car and we had problem to park it until we check in. There is a couple of parking places in front of hotel marked for hotel check in , but it was occupated all the time.Hotel parking is actually public parking two streets near by, gravel covered with few paved hills, whose probable function is to awaken you after a long journey. That two things are the only hotel minus.
Hotel suites are spacious with central air conditioning , cable TV and with small kitchen with microwave, small fridge and coffe maker. Beds are perfect for sleeping and bathroom is new and clean.
All receptionists are very friendly and always available for hotel guests.
Breakfast at the hotel was varied and tasty prepared, but I expected a little more Hungarian delicacies.
All in all, the hotel is fully in accordance with the European hotel industry, although it would be advisable to preserve the charm of the Hungarian. We will visit hotel again

Room Tip: Room on first floor are perfect

10.25.2012 It was a good hotel, in NL it would probably have 3 stars. It was all a bit dusty on the stairs and a bit old-fashioned. Great advantages for us: large room, good free wifi, quiet surroundings.
The breakfast was fine, nothing special. At 8.30 pm it was still quiet but the crowds began at 9:00 and larger groups sometimes had to wait for a table.
We were rented bikes and we could store them at -2 at night. According to the security guard it was not safe to leave them on the street with all the "gypsies" in the neighborhood.
Next to the hotel is also a bistro and a cheap spanish like restaurant. Diagonally opposite the hotel were 2 bistros that looked like studentcafes. In Keksz we had very cheap but good goulash stew. A short walk brought you to metro station Deak Ferenc and was very close to the tram. Little further, the shoppingstreets with all the "Christmas stalls". The Donau was a 10 minute walk.
The hotel arranged a taxi transfer for 48 euros (round trip) from and to the airport.
Tips:
-We went to the Bicycle-rental Yellow Zebra Bikes behind the Opera building. You can get euro’s from the OTP Bank to pay the bail. You can pay for the bikes with a debetcard.
- Visit Margaret island by bike, you can cycle around it. Nice for a lazy Sunday, picknick in the sun at the banks of the Donau..
- Eat at Kossuth Múzeumhajó es Ven Hajo Étterem (boat near Chain Bridge) on the terrace. Take the disht with 3 traditional courts.
- The Freedom Bridge is just as beautiful as the Chain Bridge!

We stayed here in October 2012, the suites are wonderful with great sized rooms, with a seating area as well as bedroom, microwave, fridge and hairdrier. The suites offer an extensive breakfast buffet. The staff are helpful and very friendly, as are all the Hungarian people. The best aspect of these suites has to be it's wonderful central locaion. Budapest is a city you can easily walk around and a 10 min walk from these suites, will take you down to the edge of the Danube and the amazing parliament building and the castle area on the other side of the river. All in all i would certainly recommend Budapest as a city break location and these suites (who are extremely reasonably priced as well) are the perfect place to base yourself for site seeing.

Room Tip: I should imagine the rooms are all good, no issue with noise in ours. It doesn't actually face t...

Hotel was good. Shuttle more expensive than airport service. Skybar wasn't open even tho weather was good which was disappointing.
Good rooms and great location
The breakfast was good and top up often so when we would get there by the end there was always still plenty left.
Receptionist gave good info about things to do e.g river cruisers and hop on hop iff buses etc

We had 3 wonderful nights in Budapest - such a great city . The hotel was in the centre and within easy walking distance of The Danube, shops , restaurants and the tube, the location could not be better. The rooms were clean , modern and so spacious . We had a fridge, kettle , food prep area and sink . Would be perfect for a family as there was a sititng area as well as the bedroom. Breakfast was good and the staff were so helpful . Wi-fi good .Though very centrally located it was so quiet .
We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend the hotel .

The hotel is located essentially in the heart of Budapest. The Deak square, Vaci street, and the Danube is just at a few minutes walking distance. Thus, the hotel is very conveniently located if you want to have a walk in downtown but is also great if you want to travel somewhere else, since the Deak square is a big hub for the public transport -- two subways, several trams, and buses stop there. The hotel offers only suites, which have a living room (with kitchenette), a bedroom, and a good-sized bathroom. The rooms are all right, but the furniture and style of the room is certainly not very upscale as one would expect from a nice four star hotel. Instead, it is more like a very good three star hotel with huge rooms. The hotel offers complimentary internet, which is fairly fast. The breakfast is also good, one can try some of the traditional Hungarian tastes and the more usual choices are also available. The service at the hotel is great, the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, they are very happy to give directions and/or recommendations for restaurants or pubs.
