Well situated in central Budapest, close to tram stops. Hotel noticeably clean. Our twin bedroom was spacious with good storage and matching furniture, spacious en suite, air conditioning, TV (local programmes only), mini-bar. Hotel has a lift. Staff were friendly and most helpful. A good breakfast buffet. All-in-all excellent value for money. One drawback, the street in which the hotel is situated can be quite noisy.

This hotel is great value - it only cost us about £40 per person for
a triple room for two night and £60 per person for a double room for two nights.

The rooms were very spacious and clean, but very hot - not sure the air con worked well!

The breakfast was a nice continental breakfast and on until 10 am, but they are very strict about not taking food out of the room.

It is a fairly central location - near to lots of nice bars and the nice Andrassy boulevard. It is about 20 min walk to the St Stephens Basilica.

Beware the taxi ordered from the hotel to the airport is a lot more expensive than the journey into town - have the money spare!

Good location but other than that it's basically an overpriced dump with poor service.

Tried to do as much internet research possible for staying at a relatively inexpensive place in a nice setting, this sounded like a terrific bet. I would have to say the free breakfast is a bonus but not spectacular, the location is great, but the hotel itself is a disaster.... a bit like Fawlty Towers. The people at the desk are friendly but speak only pigeon english and are illequipped or not so interested in advising you about the city. As a solo traveler I found this a bit infuriating. However I went to the bigger hotels (which were within walking distance) for advice. The rooms seem relatively clean but the sheets do not completely cover the mattress', which seem a bit unsavory and not neccesarily clean and you are not given a top sheet. I asked for one and I think I was given a tablecloth. The towels are only cleaned every 3 days and they are rough.. There is no shower but a bathtub is a luxury for a traveller. I would say all in all for $34 more you can stay at the Hilton! I would say check bigger hotels rates before taking a gamble on ones you are not familiar with...

We spent 4 nights at this hotel as part of a trip to see Robbie Williams in concert at the Puskas (formerly Nep) Stadium.

We stayed on the 2nd Floor of the Hotel. Access was via a round staircase or a small lift. The accommodation was fairly standard for a clean comfortable 3 star hotel. The bedroom had a safe, telephone, TV (about a dozen channels with Eurosport the only one in English) and fridge with mini bar. The bathroom included bidet and hair dryer.

Breakfast was served 0700 -1000. Typical continental breakfast fare. Plenty of it.

The hotel location was excellent, between Terezvaros and Erzesbetvaros on the outskirts of the city centre. 2 - 3 minutes walk north is Franz Lizst Terrace which is a tree lined boulevard populated with many first class cafes. A few minutes further walk takes you to Lukacs coffee house (which is well worth a visit). A short walk South of the Hotel is Galleria Bar which also served good meals at attractive prices.

Our favourite restaurant was Cafe Noir et L'or on Kiraly, about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel. Ambience, service and food were excellent. We enjoyed a bottle of the surprisingly good Hungarian wine on each visit.

The hotel reception staff all spoke English. Very helpful. We visited the Luckacs baths one morning on the Buda side of the river. The hotel staff provided accurate advice upon how to get there using the plentiful public transport in the city.

My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Budapest and will most certainly return.
