The hostel is in a big, old apartment, but provides quiet, clean and nice rooms. There are two bathrooms/toilets and comfortable, well equipped kitchen. The staff is friendly, helpful, speaks excellent English and offers very useful advice on sightseeing, eating, entertainment etc. The hostel is also very well located (close to subway, Gellert hegy and market hall). Very good price for value.

The hostel had a very relaxed atmosphere and had a nice decor / vibe throughout. The facilities were in good condition and the kitchen was very well equipped (with the exception of no kettle!) At time of visit (3/9-6/9) it was very quiet despite having quests in the hostel itself, therefore if your looking for a lively place to stay in budapest maybe this isn't for you. The location was ideal being on a quiet street near to the main shopping district and some relaxed bars and restaurants being off the beaten track. The hostel was extremely secure as all doors had locks on and they insisted that you lock the main entrance door upon arrival and departure at all times. Overall a nice hostel in a good location for a decent price!

This was one of the best hostels I stayed at during my 6 week europe travelling tour. We got an apartment to stay in, which was huge and had a kitchen, etc. The hostel has a really friendly and informative staff, and free internet. The enviornment felt really layed back and comfortable. If I come to Budapest again, I will definately be staying here!

We are a couple in out late twenties, fairly well travelled who are happy to 'rough it'. We booked a 'private, double, en-suite' room. The room actually turned out to be a small studio apartment just opposite from the hostel itself. It was small but perfectly formed with everything we needed and more. For me a clean room with a bed and a shower suits fine so I was delighted. Especially as we paid just under £30 per night for the both of us.

The hostel itself was a little rough around the edges but the owner was a really nice guy who was always available and seemed to genuinely care that we were happy and had everything we needed. Whilst we were there the staff were decorating. I would recommend this place to groups of young men and women as it is cheap, central and there seems to be bit of a party atmosphere at the place. For those like me who are getting a little old ;0) be sure to book the apartment.

Those who book into hostel accommodation normally know what they are getting and I think its only reasonable to have very basic expectations of somewhere so cheap. It is worth noting that the hostel is a 2 min walk from a main metro station. The transport system in Budapest is fantastic so I would recommend buying a travel card and exploring. There is also a really nice and well priced restaurant opposite the hostel called Old Amsterdam. A crazy little pub round the corner called the For Sale bar where there was music every night and a huge main road running adjacent to the road that the hostel is on full of little bars and restaurants.

Me and two friend stayed at this hostel for three nights and it was terrible. First of all the lock was missing in the door (and we did not get a new room), there was no bedclothes (only dirty blankets), there was a garbage dump outside our window (with a terrible smell), there was only one toilette for all hotel guests (the other was out of order)... the only good thing about this hotel is the location and the price.
