“Keep looking for something better!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2012

The hotel is in desperate need of renovation - especially the corridors and lobby look as if they haven't seen a paintbrush for decades! It's a 3-star hotel in their dreams and I'd say it's a 2 star max. Breakfast buffet very budget oriented. Internet access only in the lobby. Rooms face either a small street with trams which start very early in the morning or a very shabby looking apartment house on the other side. The neighbourhood is not the kind that you feel very comfortable in, some weird types loiter in front of stores on the street. On the plus side it is within walking distance to the centre - about 30mins / about 8 mins to the subway stop and double decker hop on/hop off tour bus stop; also about 10 minutes away from the east train station. There is a small Teso supermarket about 50m from the hotel and a great bakery across the street selling all sorts of sweet and salty pastries. The room we had was the deluxe apartment and it was HUGE - about 55 square meters! Air conditioning and mini fridge worked ok. We had a special offer for the hotel (the only reason why we stayed there) but their regular prices are astronomical, bet you could get a better deal at a 5-star hotel. Although the stay wasn't traumatic and the staff was friendly I'd definately not stay there again!

While this hotel is in a great location in Budapest, the room was rather dirty when we first arrived. It is located on a busy street and is very loud if the window is left open, and stuffy if the window is closed. This hotel also seems to have a pleuthera of events catering to young people which does not equate to a comfortable night stay. The breakfast was good; however, the beds extremely uncomfortable. We flew almost 12 hours the night before and felt this room was only sub-par. Bottom-line, I wish we would have splurged a little more for a more comfortable hotel by the river! Would not stay again.

The Hotel is located near the Blaha Luz Tér subway station. Large room, different quality of mattresses. There's no shampoo or shower gel, only small soap. The room has no doorstep, so you can hear sounds from the corridor.Breakfast is ok.

Good value for money. Close to the city center. The area is ok but a little bit dark on the street. Breakfast is ok. Perfect wifi connection.
The reception staff is excellent! Friendly and professional!!

V friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Tram stop right outside to nearest tube, or if you walk to tube it takes about 10-15mins .
On a busy tram route so can be a bit noisy at night , but rooms are double glazed.
Brekky is the usual meat , cheese, bread, along with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, jams and honeys etc, all very well presented and tasty.
There is a bar but no evening restaurant(there are lots of restaurants a tram or tube ride away, part of the fun is to find and try olde worlde ones , they are normally the best for value and taste ).
Our shower could probably to with being replaced soon ,but was powerful enough and lovely and warm (it was minus 14 during our visit ),the hotel was lovely and warm at all times.
This hotel is basic but has everything you need, lots of city info on display.
Would definatley stay here again .
