We've just returned home after 4 nights at the Casati and thought it was a great find. Loved the hotel décor, staff were very friendly and helpful and we thought that there was quite a good choice at breakfast for such a small hotel. The location, a very short walk from the Opera House with a Metro station and a bus stop for all the main hop-on/hop-off routes, was excellent and very close to plenty of bars and restaurants in the evening.
A few very small niggles stopped me giving the hotel 5 stars. There were no drawers whatsoever in the room and only a very small wardrobe, which wasn't too much of an inconvenience for a summer visit when we were travelling very light, but I think it would have been annoying if we had been visiting in winter with lots of bulky warm clothes to store. The only mirror with a plug socket near to it (for my hair straighteners!) was in the bathroom and like many British people I refuse to plug any electrical appliance into a bathroom outlet, so that made getting ready to go out a little awkward. Finally, the tiny shower screen was completely inadequate for stopping the bathroom floor getting wet and slippery and really needs to be twice as wide as it is.
On balance, there are far more good things than bad about this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to go back there if I was returning to Budapest.
