“Wonderful accommodating staff in a lovely, quiet location”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

We are currently staying here for 21st birthday celebrations but felt compelled to write before we leave, we have been extremely pleased with this lovely hotel. The staff are wonderful, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We arranged with the hotel a taxi transfer from the airport, although our flight was delayed by 2 hours and the taxi wasn't there. To compensate the hotel left a bottle of Hungarian champagne for us to enjoy in our room before we visited the opera house. This boutique hotel is just the right size to feel warm and friendly and the decor has been done beautifully, especially all the interesting light features in the rooms. We would reccommend this hotel wholeheartedly and are enjoying our time here an incredible amount! The staff are a credit to the establishment. Now we are off for a sauna!

We stayed in the Casati for 4 nights and I have to say it is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Staff were friendly, helpful, and informative, from advising on the best way to see the city to printing by boarding passes for the flight home.
We chose a Natural style room facing the courtyard and it was a great choice. Spacious, bright, quiet and clean with a large bathroom.
The location of the hotel was great for us. About half way between Heroes Square and Castle Hill (25 minute walk to both), near lots of bars and restaurants, and public transport.
There was also a good selection for breakfast and never busy. You can use the sauna and small gym for free and can pay to have massages on site once you give notice.
We also got a good package deal on their website which made it even nicer.
My only gripe was that the hot food at breakfast was not kept hot enough.
I highly recommened the Casati.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the courtyard.

That is really great that you had time to try our wellness department included in the price and that you made a good bargain through our website! Our Nature room is very spacious and relaxing overlooking the calm courtyard covered with ivy.
Thank you for your notice regarding to the hot dishes at breakfast, we have already taken measures to keep the food hot enough.
We hope You can visit us again in the near future to try the other room styles as well.

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel - chosen from the reviews on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. The best thing about it is the location. You are just steps from the Opera House and some fantastic restaurants, a ten minute walk to the centre and the Danube and less to the metro station to take you up to City Park/Heroes Square.

The room was nice - booked a junior suite (room 23) - all v quiet, decent sized room and good sized bathroom (walk in shower - but no bath). Heating control was good as it was freezing outside and the room always more than warm. Found it a little dark - lighting was 'ambient' I think the saying goes! - but didn't spend a great deal of time in the room so it didn't matter.

B'fast was good - good choice of cereals, hot food, pastries, coffees and juices - pleasant b'fast room. There was also a bar and gym/sauna but seemed v under-used and despite best intentions we didn't get to use them.

Hotel staff v helpful - particularly in organising taxis to and from the airport - always a major concern for me as I hate being ripped off!

Two restaurants you must try: Callas near the Opera House - just quite superb. The food was excellent, the waiters fantastic (friendly, great service without being over attentive) and excellent entertainment/music. We also went to Pesti Diszno which was also close by. Again - great ambience, really relaxing, food quite superb - lovely little place. The wine we tried was also excellent - and Kardaka wine bar - round the corner from Casati was also fantastic. Great wine, really friendly staff. We also went to a performance at the Opera House and had a box for about £15 each - a really special experience.

So all in all - great trip and could not fault anything at the Casati.

Dear Budap43,
thank you so much for taking the time to provide us and other TripAdvisor readers with your detailed feedback, I am glad that you had a positive experience after choosing Casati from other lovely reviews on this website.
I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel, loved the spacious room with the unique bathroom, the delicious breakfast and the services.
Our staff is really professional, they helpfully organize you almost anything to guarantee a memorable Budapest holiday.
Our location is truly superb – two corners from Opera House and the major junction of public transportation (Deák Square), within a walking distance from the Broadway of Budapest (Nagymező street) with theatres, museums, bars and frequented ruin pubs like Instant, as well as excellent restaurants e.g. Pesti Disznó as you mentioned, or Két Szerecsen Restaurant.
Kadarka Wine Bar is also a great choice, only one corner from Casati with unique Hungarian wine selection, not to mention its delicious cheese plates, aubergine cream or langosh!
The continent’s first underground railway, Line 1 is in 100 metres, so that you can easily reach all parts of the city, for example the Heroes’ Square or Széchenyi Bath.

We are looking forward to welcoming You again at Casati Budapest Hotel!

A georgeous hotel in an incredible atmospere. I loved the room, the silence. Budapest should be recognized not only because of its lovely monuments, but also for this hotel. My only recommendation is that they could improve a little bit its pastry at breakfast. Congratulations for the award¡¡

We stayed here on a romantic weekend. Highly recommended:
- Phenomenal breakfast, even served with Hungarian "champagne"
- Extremely friendly staff who got us tickets to the spa
- Well located in city centre, next to Jewish quarter where the best bars and restaurants are. Short walk from the Danube and the bridges to Buda
- Great bathrooms and enormous walk-in shower
- Four different styles of rooms, check them out online and request the one you like best
- 80€ per night, so not a bargain but the quality is high
- MASSIVE Comfy bed
- Spa (which we didn't use!)

Dear Mehandforth,
many thanks for sharing your experiences at Casati, from such a big traveler like You it is a special pleasure to receive this nice feedback!
I am really happy that together with the helpful staff we could contribute to your romantic and unforgettable Budapest city break.
We are fortunate with the hotel’s location, with a short walk you can easily reach the centre of culture and nightlife – and using the public transportation it is even more comfortable.
The Jewish area is a hidden treasure of the city with its romantic, cobblestone streets, intimate bars and beautiful synagogues. I hope you enjoyed the relaxing Rudas and Széchenyi baths too.
It is great that you found the prices reasonable and were satisfied with the large bathroom and bed quality – you should come back and try our renewing massage therapy and sauna!
I hope we can welcome you back soon at Casati!
Kindest regards,

We have just spent 4 nights in the Casati and found it a great pleasure. The hotel is situated in an ideal position just a few seconds away from the famous tree lined boulavard of Anndrassy Avenue. A fifteen to twenty minute walk in either direction gets you to The Danube and the chain Bridge, or City Park and the fantastic Szechenyi thermal baths.

The hotel has been completely renovated in a really modern sharp design. The rooms are a good size with TV, Fridge (mini bar), air conditioning and superb en-suite bathroom (no bath but a walk in shower)

The dining room for breakfast is smart and nicely set out. Breakfast itself was a help yourself buffet style with plenty of cold meats, salami, cheese, fruit, cereal, yoghurt etc. As well as scrambled or boiled eggs, sausage and bacon.

The hotel has a really nice bar area but we chose to frequent the many local bars within a 5 minute walking distance. The Hotel staff were really friendly and helpfull and the rooms cleaned on a daily basis.

For a City break in Budapest, i couldn't imagine a better place to stay.

Room Tip: Overlooking the courtyard

Dear Alan_Bateson,
let me thank you for your kind and detailed review, we really appreciate it.
I am happy that you could visit the major sights of the city and reached everything with a nice walk. Did you know that Széchenyi is the largest medicinal bath in Europe?
I am glad that you liked the design of the hotel, as well as room amenities and the energy-boosting breakfast – I hope you had a glass of champagne too :)
Indeed, the neighboring bars and clubs are very frequented, and due to the wide choice everyone can find their beloved one – and the outdoor terraces are just to open!
My staff and I are looking forward to meeting you again in the near future!
Happy Easter and all the best,
