I only collected stamps as a child but in the 1950's the Magyar Post stamps were special. I had to see this museum because of this. Well, if you have the time it is quite the experience. Somewhere I read that this small museum holds 13 million stamps. I spent about 2 hours there and could have spent the day. The stamps are well organized and marked in vertical pull out display cases. I don't speak Hungarian and the women at the museum do not speak English. But they are very helpful and I was able to find most of the stamps I wanted to look at. This may be rated number 106 of 183 sights to see in Budapest but if you have any interest at all in postage stamps this museum is not to be missed. Unfortunately, no photos at all. If your traveling companions are not interested in stamps they may want to do something else while you immerse yourself in the museum.
