Description: Az ÉS egy laza magyar vendéglő és pecsenyesütöde, ahol a hagyományos éttermi formai megkötésektől mentesen is jól érezheted magad sörözés, borozás, beszélgetés közben falatozgatva. A klasszikus magyar fogások mellett izgalmas falatozós ételeket alkottunk, emellett húsokat, halakat grillezünk. A már ismert monarchiabeli ételek, különleges grillek ÉS falatok mellett izgalmas bor- ÉS kézműves sörválaszték vár. ***Wine bar, beer pub, terrace, bistro, restaurant, brasserie. In ÉS you don’t need to have traditional dishes and follow dining traditions. The menu has three separate parts: nibbles to share, typical dishes of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and grilled meat and fish. A unique, unconventional wine and beer selection rounds off this delicious gastro experience. Breaking with the formality of dining traditions, i.e., the sequence of starter, main course and dessert, guests can have nibbles while enjoying a glass of wine or beer. Night and day. With friends and family.

“Great Find”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Looking for dinner on a Tuesday night we came upon Es and stopped in to see if we could be seated. They were fairly full and had a table available that would be needed within a 90 minute window for a large party... we opted to take it and if needed would forego dessert. The waitstaff was actually quite fun and we had a great interaction with them them throughout the entire meal. We had a delicious Riesling to start... the meal that followed was delicious every step of the way. We realized our time was almost up and decided to move to the bar for dessert and an after dinner drink... loved it! Thank you Es...

“Scrumptious Hungarian and Austrian food!”
Reviewed September 25, 2013 via mobile

We were looking for somewhere to go for a fancy meal and saw this restaurant when walking down the street. We went for a late meal (they serve until 11pm)
On arrival we were seated and greeted by the manager who was very friendly and recommended a lovely local wine for us. Service was brilliant throughout the meal!
We had goulash soup for starters and a Weiner schnitzel and steak for main. All the food was beautiful and reasonably priced for the amount and quality of the food! We paid approx £30 each for starter, main and wine.
Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone!

We had a late dinner in this bistro, found it while walking by towards Vaci street. The quality of food and the quality of service is exceptional,, stands out in cimparison to other places we tried in Budapest. Highly recommend for picky eaters.

“Best restaurant this year”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

Visited Es quite by chance on a visit to Budapest. The food, presentation, service and atmosphere were all perfect. Had the goulash to start and the ribs for main. The portions were very big, but fantastically prepared and attractively plated. Although not cheap for this city, would be considered cheap in London, the US etc. so very much worth it.

“Had a good steak”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Had a plate with mixed hungarian cold cuts for a starter, it was enough for two and very good. Ordered a rib eye steak for the main dish and it was delicious. Good and friendly service with good wine suggestions. Nice interior, but it is too dark. At some tables it is alomost impossible to read the menu if you are over 50 years old. Fix the lightning and we will come back!
