Hummus bar serves the quintessential Budapest street food of falafels, grilled chicken and kebab in trendy surroudings. The menu has an emphasis on healthy, Middle-Eastern options unlike many of the kebab joints around town and everything seems to be made fresh upon ordering. The staff on our first two visits spoke exceptionally good english, and the service was very attentive and professional.
For our dinner we had two falafel mains with salad( a wonderful selecton of lemony couscous, carrots with jeera and tomato-onion salad) and some hummus with paprika and oliveoil alongside ok chips. Their homemade fresh lemonade ( also served as a welcoming drink upon entering, a nice touch) was just the right drink to have with this meal: suitably refreshing and not too sweet.
Our lunch was two good value menus of small lemonade & a falafel pita ( 790 forints each) that were filling and fresh and just what was needed after some strenuous sightseeing in record temperatures.
The Hummus bar is exeptionally well priced& cozy, the service is very good and the food well above your average török etterem or similar street food joint.
