This place looked very creepy for us (a couple) far before from visiting it. We always wondered how many tables this restaurant has because we could not believe that there are only two of them.

Well, our thoughts became reality, and we sat at one of the tables. The chairs reminded us of the seats that village cinemas have. However, this is the style of Kazincy utca's restaurants. Most of them have some sort of the trashy furniture and decorations. So it does not matter which food these places offer (Indian, Mexican, Thai, ect.) because you will always have a feeling sitting somewhere in the junk yard.

The food was very average. We don't remember that it was cheap for that size.

The service didn't look polite and at some point, we were scared that the owner of this restaurant will put other customers to sit with us at the table. Thanks God, the second table became empty, and we didn't need to share our table with strangers.

It is nice to do a first review of a great little place to eat.
We stumbled across this place by chance and with our love of Indian and Asian cuisine decided to pop inside for something to eat. It is not far from Dohany utca, in the area behind the Jewish Museum.
This has to be the smallest place to eat in the whole of Budapest. You could almost touch three walls by standing in the centre.
There is only really one table that four people can sit at (at a push) and a small table for two, thats it no more seating. There were us two and three others adjacent to us and the only person who could get in or out was the delivery man.
Going on to the food, the menu which is limited, is detailed on a blackboard fastened up on the wall.
The little Asian guy who cooks the food will tell you what he has or has not available from the menu.
The cooking area is really tiny and there is even a set of steps going up the back, which the female assistant pops up to get other ingredients (i think they may live upstairs?).
There are only two options, one vegetarian and the other meat with dishes such as kormas, butter chicken, vindaloo, paneer curries , soups, samosas, biryani etc.
We both had a chicken biryani and the chap cooked it all there and then fresh, you could see him cutting up the chicken and adding his spices and ingredients to his pan by hand. The rice was nice and fluffyand he asked what strentgh we liked before cooking it. It was absolutley lovely food and at only 1150 Hufs each for a plate of food, fantastic value.
We would have picked an other option had it been available but we were really pleased with the Biryani.
Being so close to the other people in there we saw exactly what they had to eat and also the chef cooking it, paneer curry, butter chicken all looked very nice as well.
You could not really call it a restaurant, it is what it says a Bistro or little cafe. It could even be the smallest place to eat in the World, who knows, just go there and try it, I am sure you will not be dsiappointed.
