“Pho lives up to the hype”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Being San Francisco, I was craving some Pho to remind me of back home and this place hit the spot. It gets crowded so be willing to share a table with strangers but this isn't a problem since the diners are nice. But the pho ga (chicken) was excellent. The large size was more enough. The broth flaver was excellent. They used rices noodles as they should and the chicken pieces were the right amount. The was the 2nd place I tried in Budapest and am happy to see that there is now a pho scene in this city since it's the perfect soup for the soul (and in cold weather).

“rubbish”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

the place is advertising itself as perfect for office food and vietnamese food. The service is deeply upsetting, the waitress is the rudest and least helpful person, there is NO vegetarian option, the food is expensive, pretty sure it contains MSG and the service is terribly slow.never again.

“Simply the best Pho!”
Reviewed October 19, 2013 via mobile

For almost a year now the quality is the same high level! As a Pho soup dependent I've tried a couple of places in Budapest but this one proved to be surely the best when you wish to eat a great soup! (2nd best is the restaurant at Sárkány Center along the way to Liszt Ferenc airport. It's quality is guaranteed by the fact the staff was trained by the chef of Hai Nam). Do not miss this place!

“Small Vietnamese bistro near Allee shopping centre”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

This was a pleasant surprise; we have tried several Chinese restaurants in Budapest and haven't been impressed by any of them. This Vietnamese bistro, on the other hand, was rather good. The (owner? / manager?) was initially a bit slow to attend to us, but once he had taken our order the food arrived quite swiftly and was pretty good. They specialise in a sort of noodle soup ('Pho', I think) we had a chicken version, which came together with a few ingredients (some pickled garlic, I supposed, and a hot chili paste) to be added, which turned out to be delicious. Spring rolls were a bit disappointing, but their 'summer rolls' were excellent. Some duck we ordered was boring not very appetising, but a tamarind flavoured prawn dish was very pleasing. The rice seemed unusual to us, but it was tasty. Finally the bill came, which was very reasonable and they refused a tip, which was unexpected.
Try it!
