“The Absolut Pho”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

There are more and more vietnamien Restaurant in Budapest. But this small and cosy restaurant are ruled by a family and they're cooking like really at home. The choice is quite easy and simple but you have lunch boxes and "work lunches" and of course you have the Pho as a principal plate. Agree with the previous opinion: there's a lot of similarity with the Paris Pho restaurant in the Paris China town, but it is a positive thing. The opening hours are flexible even if officially it closes down at 9 pm. The owner is very helpful if you don't know vietnamien kitchen. Good to see Hungarian people in this restaurant which means that even at culinary level Hungary changes a lot in a positive way. Try also the Vietnam green tea, it is normally free, and very tasty! The prices are wry correct, and it is very well situated, just the opposite side of Plaza Alley in Buda, close to the end of the tram 6. If you can by car put your car to the Aleey parking, the first hour is free! I wish you a very good Pho...

“Best Pho Bo in Budapest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Glad we found this little treasure for it's fabulous nems and authentic tasting Pho. Having much experience with ChinaTown Paris Pho restaruants, we can happily report that you won't be disappointed with your experience here. Prices are reasonable, and their nems seem to be..dare I say homemade? Welcome experience in this day of *fast food* that you can have your meal in a reasonable time and it's obviously made from scratch. They may not be very busy now, but by the summer the word will be out, and we'll be lucky to get a seat...This could easily become our favorite *new* bistro.

“Credible place for Pho Soup enthusiasts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

I had the Sunday lunch among a dozen of Vietnamese expats which anticipated my trust in the kitchen and let me have some local feeling. I let the introduction of their flagship Pho Soup with long-boiled beef which was served quickly with the essential add-ins: sweet pepper cream, sour garlic&chili slices, bean sprouts, coriander, lime and a fresh piece of chili. Together with a canned lichees lemonade including tip addes up to 7 Euro, which is a decent price for a decent meal. Recommended! The other menu card items will follow soon.
