These were great with 20 stops, also a free river cruise and free evening tour of the city plus 2nd day free. Liked it as they gave you your own earphones, unlike some others we saw, but remember to keep them with you. Buses were clean and staff very friendly was running for bus a couple of times and they waited even though they are very frequent. I would recommend this as we were first time visitors.

There are at least four different hop on/hop off tour companies operating in Budapest. Take the one with the giraffe on it. We took the Big Bus and spent more time waiting at bus stops than sightseeing. We kept seeing the bus with the giraffe going by so they must have a lot more busses on the road than the Big Bus. The bus stops are hard to find and the numbering is a little off. The times of the last bus on the run are also really inconvenient. If you want to take the bus in the morning from one side to the other side of the river, you better be prepared to return to early in the afternoon if you are depending on the bus to get you back to your hotel.

We took a Big Bus tour a couple of years ago in London and thought it was the biggest waste of time and money. We swore off ever doing it again, but we were travelling with our elderly parents so we decided to take the bus. I think they may have enjoyed it, but if you are a young, mobile individual skip the bus. There is a ton of traffic in Budapest and you spend a lot of time just sitting in traffic. The city may seem big and hilly, but it is really very walkable and you can get a better feel for the city by walking. You miss a lot of the culture sitting on a bus. I was so sad seeing markets and shops from the bus when I would have loved to see them up close. I know the idea is to hop off, but by the time I saw something interesting, the stop was already passed.

Decided to buy tickets for this bus tour on our second day in Budapest. The buses are fairly regular, running about every half hour, with about 20 stops throughout the city. The buses are clean and the staff are very polite and friendly. The price includes use of the buses for two days, a night tour that last and hour with no stops and a 60-90 minute river cruise. Also included are a set of small earphones, which are all new unlike some of the other bus tour companies we see. It has good commentary in many languages and takes away the normal guide shouting over a microphone. The included night tour is a must, stopping for great photo opportunities. A must do in Budapest.

Having just arrived in Budapest, this was a fantastic way for my wife and I to experience Budapest.

Very useful hop on hop off bus tour, we were able to see what we wanted, take great pictures and have a commentary along the way.

My wife and I were both happy as we were able to listen to the tours sound system in our own language as there are many options available.
There is a guide is on the bus to answer any questions and earphones are provided for the speak system.
Included in the price, is a river cruise, and the evening tour.

It was fantastic and great value for money.

THEY LITERALLY STRANDED ME AND TWO OTHERS ON TOP OF CASTLE HILL. We were waiting for the last bus that NEVER CAME. The rep on the phone was very rude and insisted the bus had come already when I had been waiting for over an hour in the pickup spot. Even the person on the bus admitted they didn't come by that spot. They didn't even offer to refund the cost of my ticket.
