I starred at this bridge from the center of town. when I found myself at The GREAT Market, I almost did enter as I thought the bridge more interesting. The view standing in the center over the Danube is peaceful. Chain bridge faces you and you feel the hustle and bustle but the Liberty bridge is an important piece of history. if you look up you can see the Hungarian Turul birds and the royal crest. From the Buda side The bridge takes on a regal appearance

We enjoyed walking over and seeing the views more than once from this bridge. You have the Geller Spa/Hotel on one side and the Central Market on the other. Obviously great Danube views to boot.

The walk across this beautiful bridge is a short one and it is well worth it. At either end you are greeted by at least one grand building, the University in Pest or the Geller Hotel in Buda. On the Pest side you can also visit the Central Market. On either side, you can walk along the Danube, obviously.

People talk about the Chain Bridge which is nice, but for my money the Liberty Bridge is far more unusual and impressive. Definitely walk it at least once.

The Liberty Bridge comes close to the fascinating Chain Bridge; it is not as old as the Chain Bridge; but it is longer and it has its own beauty with the same old structure design of the 19th century.

It is not as near as the Chain Bridge to the main attractions in Buda and Pest; still you can see most; and the Danube; still it is really beautiful day and night.
