If you are in the area, venture across this bridge as part of your walk. Although it carries vehicle and tram traffic, there is sufficient space to walk at your leisure and stop to admire the stunning architecture and views. Well worth a visit.

Even though the Chain Bridge is the most popular one, I found this one to be far more beautiful! It has a wonderful structure, and beautiful views (as every bridge in Budapest). It has the Central Market Hall on the Pest side, and St. Gilbert Hill on the other side. Pleasant to walk across, or use some of the trams and buses that cross the bridge. Very inspiring!!

A great place to climb up a few feet (in the centre of the bridge) and then sit to watch the sun go down over the Buda side, and not far from restaurants and cafes.

Much better than the famous Chain Bridge.I know its just a Bridge but it has something else I couldn't put my finger on-its got character! Traffic rumbles over its span, so not a quiet walk across the Danube.

By far my favorite of Budapest great bridges something simplistically wonderful about the Szabadsag hid.

Not sure why I find it so inspiring maybe it is the way it unfolds to the base of Gellert Hill and the cave church or if it is the way it seems the most authentic and genuine of all the bridges in the city,,, yes it must be the green color somehow it just seems to perfectly fit the composition and landscape of the city and river it spans and connects.

I would say add it to your must see list but if you visit Budapest you cant miss it
