Take a tram rather than special boat. It will cost you much less and the experience is the same. On top of that there are party boats and many more. Everybody will find something for themselves

We took a dinner cruise down the Danube. It was way better than the one we did in Prague as the view was just magnificent particularly when the lights came on and showed up the sheer architectural grandeur of the Castle, Parliament House, the bridges and the churches. The food was well laid out and extremely tasty as were the assorted dessert dishes. The live band played nostalgic songs from the sixties and seventies and the evening was just great.

During the day we drove along the Danube to Szentendre - it was quite pretty. But at night when we returned - it was nothing short of fabulous! The city lights just make this place look like one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I've been on other European rivers at sunset such as the Rhein but nothing compares to this

You have to see many views of the Danube from various sides to
fully appreciate how Buda Pest and Obuda became this great city
spanning the river. It is not blue, however. Black and shiny at night, silvery with ice in the winter, lined with sunbathers and fishermen when it isn't too hot! A walk along the Pest or Buda quai (the Duna Corso) is a good way to begin, and then visit Margit Island in the middle.

Wow an evening cruise on the Danube seems to be one of the highlights of the trip.
Once the sunsets the lights goes on and Budapest is quite magical. The grand palaces lit up. to be honest i enjoyed it more than the eveing cruises in amsterdam or even paris.

Simply gorgeous and quite romantic.

fair warning it could feel really cold on the river in march. Even though the weather was night during the day..at night the windy river can be quite chilling. IMO wear a thick coat and enjoy the view. AThe light will warm you up easily.

I bought a hopon and hop off ticket...so entrance to the cruise was free. Matter of fact we could cruise as often as we wanted. Glad we chose evening one.

Remember during high seaso..boats could be packed.
