You know what to expect when booking a chain hotel and we that's what we got. The rooms were basic but very clean and tidy, there was a breakfast buffet which offered a good variety and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is in an ideal spot with only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the market hall and the river. We used the hop on hop off bus to see the majority of the city but were surprised to find out that Tuesday the 20th August was a national holiday in Hungary so the bus service was restricted that day and as that was our main day there it changed our plans somewhat. I would therefore recommend checking the national holiday schedule before travelling so you wont get caught out like we did. Budapest is a beautiful city and well worth a visit for a few days.

Stayed here for 4 nights and booked it with a great discount. They had a deal on that gave us 25% off a 4 night stay. The hotel is on the Pest side of town.

Positives
- The location is fantastic! Walking distance to the Great Market Hall, Liberty Bridge and right around the corner to the M3 Kalvin Ter subway station. Trams 47 & 49 take you to Deak Ferenc which is where a big shopping pedestrian zone is or the other direction which is two stops to Gellert Hotel/ Spa. From Deak Ferenc, the St. Stephen Basilica is only a few minutes away by foot, as well as the Dohany Synagogue. The location really made a big difference to our stay. One evening we were starting to get cold and going back to the hotel to fetch our sweaters was very easy and fast.
- The street the hotel is on, Raday Utca, is a long pedestrian street that is full of many restaurants to choose from.
- Good room size. We had twin beds and from our window we had a view of the Citadel.
- Very friendly and helpful staff. After the first night, I found the mattress too soft and told the front desk staff who made a note and by the afternoon it was fixed. (They have a top foam mattress cover that is very soft. But once that is taken off, the mattress itself is quite firm).
- Very easy to get to and from the international airport. Bus 200E goes between the airport and the M3 Kobanya-Kispest subway station. Kobanya-Kispest to Kalvin Ter takes about 20 mins. We bought a 7 day public transport pass for 4,950 HUF and this covered the airport route as well.

Negatives
- Our room was unfortunately really dusty! I pointed it out to the housekeeper who was making our room the next morning, and she did try to get most of it. It didn't look like they vacuum the rooms and so we found a lot of dust even after the initial clean.
- The towels had been bleached to death and were so thin. They were at least changed everyday....but they weren't the nicest hotel towels one could use.
- There was only one power socket in the room. I had to unplug the TV so that we both could charge our devices overnight.
- No fridge in room. It would have been nice to keep drinks and fruit cold.
- Wifi was ok once you're logged in, but if you're inactive for a few minutes, you'd have to log in again. I found this rather annoying after the second day.

Tips
- The Great Market Hall has a great range of fresh produce. Get your fresh fruit from here. We decided to go there for breakfast one morning and I must say that that wasn't a good idea.

Hotel very well located for exploring the city on foot or by subway.
Sympathetic and helpful staff.
Comfortable rooms with minimum possible. Breakfast enough.
Cleaning is not very good, just a towel around the room, hard to get to the hotel garage.

Room Tip: Street view
