“Excellent hotel with helpful, friendly staff.”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We have just returned from 4 nights in the Adina Apartment hotel. We arrived around midnight and were welcomed by the receptionist (24 hour cover). We had been upgraded from a studio flat to a full apartment - which was huge - bathroom with laundry (washer/dryer, iron & ironing board); separate toilet; kitchen with full sized cooker, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster & dishwasher;large bedroom with TV, double wardrobes and free card operated safe; huge lounge with sofas, desk, dining table, coffee table and large television; balcony area with seats. The rooms were very well kept and were cleaned daily. We didn't have a CD player but asked about this and one was put in the room whilst we were out. There was no DVD player (one could be hired for 1000F (approx £3) per 24 hours. No free WiFi (it could be purchased but was quite expensive) There was, however a computer for general use on the first floor, which was free to use. Buffet breakfast was included in our package - it was very good - nice selection of food (hot & cold) and drinks. Coffee & hot drinks were available free of charge at any time of day or night in the lobby area (which had comfy sofas and bookshelves with a variety of fact & fiction books) The leisure facilities were excellent - the pool & Jacuzzi were lovely. Robes were provided so we could change & shower in our apartment. Pleasant courtyard area. The staff were all, without exception, friendly & extremely helpful.
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area a few minutes walk from the underground system (which was very easy to use and cost less than £10 for a 72 hour pass for all the transport system - including the river boats which was a great 2 hour journey) The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the Danube (it was a nice walk from there along the river to the centre of Budapest approx half an hours stroll).

We stayed in Adina, Budapest for the first time and we enjoy staying here. Friendly and helpful staff who tried to make you feel home and your stay comfortable. Clean rooms and good location with easy access to public transport, yet not noisy nor far from city center.

The one bed room apartment is well equipped with what we need for a long stay ( more than a week), in the living area, kitchen and laundry facilities. supermarket for grocery shopping is just around the corner. Fresh food market and metro station is just 5 min walk and the buses and trolley are nearby the hotel.

Nice spa and gym, however the pool is a bit cold, 28 degrees.

I would recommend to friends for their official or personal visits. perfect for a family or business trips.

We are just back from 6 nights at the Adina and cannot recommend it highly enough; we were travelling with a two year old toddler and found the Adina to be perfect.
It is located about 30-40 mins walk from the centre but Lehel Ter metro stop is less than a 5 minute walk away, three stops on the blue line and you are in the centre
The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly and helpful in giving directions to a local 24/7 grocery store (we arrived about 9pm to the hotel)
We had a very spacious one bed apartment with a compact but well equipped kitchen a large bedroom with the baby cot in place as requested , large living room with small balcony (overlooking internal courtyard garden ) The TV had a few English channels - BBC entertainment, TCM, CNN and there was individual climate control for the kitchen/ bedroom/ living area.
There is also a 17 metre pool with fitness. Sauna and steam room- we did not take breakfast as there is an Aldi supermarket literally just around the corner which we were able to get goods and prepare in our own kitchen
The internal courtyard is fantastic to sit out in the evening after a day’s trekking round the city there is a small sand pit and there is a small box of toys left out daily by the hotel staff There is also a couple of excellent children’s parks within 5 minutes walk

Room Tip: Room overlooking courtyard would be better

I stayed here with my younger sister, we rented a 1 bed apartment which was a great xize, much larger than we expected, we got a great deal which included use of all the hotel facilities and breakfast (which was great) and we also got a free 2 day pass for the hop on hop off bus, along with a pass to the spa...I forget the name but it was fabulous. I would recommend the Adina to anyone.

We stayed here for Christmas and New Year 2010.The room was lovely, separate kitchen with nearly everything you would need,no frying pan though. It was a long walk to the city center we like to get our bearings and walk a lot.The hotel had a lovely pool but we did not use it.I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Lot of local shops so you can self cater if you want to..

This is a lovely hotel, complete with a nice pool and jacuzzi and sauna included in the room price. Rooms are massive can't fault them at all. I did think the continental breakfast on offer was ridiculously expensive. You are much better off getting some milk, cereal and juice etc from Aldi which is only round the corner from the hotel. The hotel is about a 45 - 1hr walk from the central area Deak Ferenc but saying that a metro station is only 5 minute walk from the hotel and takes you there in about 3 stops. Only about 5 pounds for a 24 ticket or 1 pound for a single ticket. All in all a great hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing stay in Budapest away from the main city area.
