A wonderful experience. A beautiful renovation, impeccable customer service and the attention to detail you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The list of famous names who have stayed here over the years says everything about the quality of this grand old establishment.

It's also excellent value for money. Everyone should stay here when visiting Budapest. If your budget is stretched, you could always stay here for one night and offset the cost, by staying somewhere cheaper for the remainder of your break.

It's located on one of the busiest and most illustrious streets in Budapest, the Erzsébet Boulevard, a short walk to the Danube and the major sites.

We stayed here two nights before starting a Viking River Cruise. Booked hotel on our own, not as a part of a pre or post cruise extension. The hotel is beautiful. It is immaculately clean. Our room and bathroom were both beautiful and spacious! The concierge friendly & helpful. The person who checked us in at the front desk was not welcoming, and had an air of being short with us and I almost felt like we were bothering him. There was no one waiting behind us. We did ask for an exchange of a small amount of euros to corinths. We did not eat at the hotel...had one breakfast from room service. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate were complimentary in the room with a pot to heat the water. Bathroom amenities good quality. Location was fine. Not close to the river. We walked to the Opera House & bought ho on hop off bus tickets across the street which are good for two days.

The moment the taxi dropped us in the front of the Hotel i felt that somehow i stepped in the glamorous world of the past. The doorman politely open the door and wished us a warm welcome and then the we were astonished by the beauty of the lobby. We have travelled around the world staying in beautiful 5 start hotels, but Corinthia now has to be in the top 3 of all our time hotels. The care in every detail, from the welcome to the bell boy, from the room beautiful and classically decorated to most gracious and polite reception. I congratulate the management for knowing to pick the right staff and most importantly for keeping the history of the place almost intact but with all the modern touches. The only thing which was missing was my ball gown. Exquisite, thank you for a memorable stay. I cant wait to go back.

I stayed at this hotel for a business meeting-it is more upscale than I would stay in if I was paying :) but I enjoyed every elegant pampering minute. The bed was amazingly comfortable-the whole room was tasteful -large and well appointed. the food was fantastic and the staff was lovely and helpful. What more could one ask for?? Well maybe ONE thing! the floor where our meeting (and it was LOOOONG) had no bathroom-one had to go down a flight of stairs for a ladies room-not cool.

Room tip: there were rooms with a view-mine was not one of them -but it didnt really make a difference

The Corinthia was a beautiful old grand style hotel. Friendly staff and excellent swimming pool complex. Room was clean and the bathroom was roomy and opulent. Mini bar a tad expensive but otherwise hard to fault. Great location for exploring - just remember to book a taxi wherever you go.

Room tip: We stayed on the top floor which was easily accessible.
