This was part of an Internet package deal without knowing the hotel we were due to stay in.
On first impression, the hotel is large and relatively clean. On closer inspection however, our room turned out to be a little unkempt and possibly not cleaned. There was a towel with a suspicious engrained stain, a dirty shower tray, a number of long hairs left all over the bathroom and a rather dirty toilet.
The bathroom fixtures and fittings also needed a lot of maintenance with corrosion around taps and around the shower.
Having said that, don't be put off by the distance from the hotel from the city centre. The public transport in Budapest is very good with everything translated in English. The hotel sits between and just 5 minute walk from two stations on the main line in to the centre.
The breakfast is also quite reasonable with good coffee, pastries and yoghurt etc.
I grew to like the hotel for what it is, dated, in need of a good refurbishment but a good place to put your head down for the night and above all, cheap!!
