“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

We stayed here for two nights and found it very comfortable. We had a huge room with three windows at the side of the Hotel which was lovely. We had dinner in the Hotel the first evening and although the dining room was full the service was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on a very busy road and near the Metro but not a very nice area.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room on the side of the Hotel they are huge and very comfortable.

Stayed here on 3rd and 4th Oct with Newmarket Tours. Located in a place where there is not even a single store, bar or restaurant. Thankfully a metro station in 3mt walk, which you can take to get into town if you dont want to pay high rates for the food.
Room has no dryer, no kettle and no Wifi. Carpets are stained and felt pukish as we entered the room...horrible smell...and it was non smoking room...our room was towards the road, and the hotel i near a child hospital, be prepared to take ambulance siren all night.
They did not give any cable for connecting internet in room, and no wifi in room. Have to buy tea or coffee from the Bar and they are like expensive for the quality of coffee. Will not recommend, carry your own kettle and coffee if you are going to stay here, though I will not recommend. Looks like coach vendors get a great deal here. Hence put all aged and old people here out, away from city.
Not very friendly staff, breakfast was not anything I can recommend either. One night all i want was a glass of warm water and the bartender charged me around 2£ for it. Nothing great here, rather nothing here. Will not recommend. Stay away from this place.

Room Tip: Do not stay here, unless you want to. Recommend to take room on the far end, not the ones facing roa...

Stayed here as part of a tour, rooms clean and tidy. Good breakfast. When we stayed the weather was very warm but the air conditioning had ,been switched off even when I asked at reception it was not switched on. Rooms like a sauna with no option to open the windows as this hotel is positioned on a very very busy main road so the traffic niose is dreadful. Also make sure if you don't smoke you ask for a Non smoking room, we had to have our room changed as they had given us a smoking room and it smelt dreadful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back as some of the rooms are on a main road which is very noisey

The rooms were ok but they didn't impress me, kind of old fashioned. The floor had stain marks. A big plus for the breakfast, I was getting tired of the same typical continetal one. This one had some very good potatoes (Hungarian recipe), omlet (with mushrooms and simple), both boiled or fried sausages, some sort of bread fried in egg (I don't know the english term but hungarian one is bundaskener, it is delicious I was glad to find it there because I used to eat it back home too), fruit salad, plum compote, different salads and dressings, croissants, marmalade, orange juice (that actually had orange pulp in it). The tv had international channels (eurosport, rtl, etc)The location was kind of isolated, not the best, it is more destinated for large groups of tourists that travel through Budapest on their way.

I`m just home from Budapest and stayed here. It`s a no-frills hotel but supplies all your needs.Pleasant staff esp Attila and Daniel.I would use this hotel again-no complaints from me! I have read reviews for this hotel that have been less than favourable but some people are difficult to please,if you like plush and all the fancy extras you won`t like it here.

The hotel seems to be more for large groups of tourists handled by tour operators. Breakfast was very good but it was a struggle to find a free table. Decoration was very poor, the sofa in the room was somehow glued to the floor and terribly located next to the bed. Service was mediocre. Included Internet via cable in the room but no cables were available. Tip restaurant: excellent goulash!!! But beware of the time because they close early and there are no restaurants at all nearby.

This hotel was pre booked for me by Newmarket Holidays and was my first visit to Hungary but I was extremely disappointed by the hotel, its location and general standards.
The biggest problem for me was the complete lack of structural fire separation with no fire doors protecting the corridors or staircases - storage of combustibles in the staircase, lack of fire extinguishers and fire alarm call points.
This together with very dirty carpets, uncomfortable beds, no kettle or tea making facilities made the stay very unpleasant. The food was completely lacking in flavour and on one occasion not cooked correctly (still frozen)
If you do find yourself there the Metro is not far away and I would suggest going into Budapest to eat but if you are concerned about your safety - find somewhere else.

Room Tip: Find another hotel!
