My wife and I stayed here while waiting on a River Cruise to begin. We got put here at the suggestion of Gate1 Travel Agence.
Just a sweet little Hotel! The front desk people were Great! Especially friendly and Helpful was Andra's Valcsak at the front desk. Excellent English an sooooo very helpful to a first time visitor to Hungary.. Thank you Andra's for your help.
Alsa a thank you to the Bar Staff and Gabas (spelling?)
Very helpfull house keepers! To explain all the European gadgets in our rooms.
I would certainly stay here again. . Nice location and convenient to public transportation.

Hint you only need one Metro pass a day .... they don't seem to check those.
The standard room is a bit smaill as is the European custom. Good practice for a cruise ship.

Room Tip: The small room is a "small room" a good value but tough if you are used to 3 bedroom and...

I liked this place and would stay there again. My room was clean and a good size, but I understand the size varies so be warned. The beds were comfortable and the table and chairs were good to.

Most nights were very quiet but when people moved into the room next door you could tell and almost hear what they were saying word for word. Thin walls.

The staff were all good and the breakfast was fine. It had fruits, breads, eggs, sausage, Hashbrowns, yogurt, and a little cereal. Only thing missing was pancakes.

The area is nice and quiet and safe. A bit further out from the centre but not too fare- it's a good distance so you can get some quiet at night.

This hotel is nice but deceptive, it isn't really expensive but on the pictures you think that your rooms are going to be beautiful. That's false, the room is dark, the walls are dirty, we hear everything in the rooms and it's far from the core of the city.
although, the breakfast is good.

I used this hotel as a base for a week long conference stay combined with some sightseeing in late August. I was somewhat hesitant due to mixed previous reviews. On the basis of these reviews I booked a superior room and asked for a garden side and quiet room. This proved to be really really huge and actually very quiet. No traffic noise at all on the backside - only the chirping of the night crickets which I love. I think it helped that the room was kind of tucked in a corner of the hotel layout (though this also meant that wifi did not work properly in the room was which annoying). Everything was very clean and the bed was excellent (and I am fussy owing to back pain problems). The furnishings are a bit drab but the room had everything I needed - even a nice big empty fridge, thankfully not full of rip-off drinks as in many hotel fridges. Other work colleagues had much smaller rooms and I'm glad I went for a superior. The AC does make a racket but it did not annoy me too much (but I sleep with ear plugs anyway). Breakfast is not the strongest point of the hotel (lack of good breakfast cereal and often ran out of brown bread) but I never went hungry and there was plenty of fresh fruit. One thing I really liked was the location in a quiet street in a residential area with plenty of little restaurants around, even some local grocer shops and bakeries. This was much nicer than being located on a main traffic avenue like most hotels. OK it is not dead central but public transport is brilliant in Budapest and most stuff was only a few minutes away by tram or metro. All in all it did the job and provided me with a comfortable and quiet room. Staff were always polite and helpful.

Room Tip: Go for superior room and ask for garden side.

Wow we enjoyed soooo much our staying at Leonardo hotel!!! The location is a little bit far from the center (2-3 stops in the metro, or about 20 minutes of walking). The hotel is situated in a very nuce area with lots of wonderful restaurants around (we especially liked the "Chilli" restaurant). The hotel itself was just perfect for us!! Very clean, beautiful room with a really nice bed, an amazing stuff.. It was such an amazing stay!! We'll definately stay there agai

Hotel Leonardo is very clean and hads good amenities-/the bathroom is clean, there's garage available, gym, and air condition. The a/c was a big help on summer time. I also like the gym and the accessibility to everything---near the subway and restaurants in the area. The wifi connection is really strong unlike other hotels we went. You can also buy Hop on Hop off tickets at the reception. I like the location especially the restaurants available next to the hotel--the French Restaurant at the corner is awesome. The food was great and the customer service. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

The hotel is located perfectly, in a quiet, nice area in Pest side, very close to the city center. We walked just about 10 -15 min. and we found ourself in downtown.
The staff in the restaurant, reception and overall in the hotel is very professionel, friendly, always with a smile.
The rooms are not big, but large enough for 2 persons and absolutly clean and spotless.
We could also not complain about the food, what was delicious , also nice breakfast with a good variety of breakfast items. The staff at the breakfast are extremly friendly and helpful.
All in all good choice!
