Great hotel with very experienced staff, no question about everything in the hotel and the city staff was very attentive and helped with anything we asked. Hotel location is very accessible with lots of bars around, no need to go to spend.

Stayed for a week in February, the hotel was really clean and tidy, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.
The receptionist was really helpful,i've lost his name unfortunately but i think it was baisa? very informative, recommending lots of places to visit.
We upgraded our room to a suite, definately worth it.
The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice for everyone and everyone seemed to be very happy with everything.
Visited the hot baths which were excellent and worth a visit anytime.
The weather was excellent whilst we were there,so did the red top bus on the first day to get our bearings and then walked everywhere for the rest of the week.
One big tip, take the local currency, florintines and not euro's,definately easier and a lot less hassle.
All the locals were very friendly and no problems whatsoever

Room Tip: Defintely worth a upgrade if poss

We stayed here in January for four nights. The public areas of he hotel were good and breakfast offered a good choice. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The only thing that let it down slightly was the room which was a bit tired with worn carpets that were a little marked. I have. Feeling they have refurbished some rooms but because we got a cheap deal we got an older room. And the room was clean bed comfortable and well worth the cheap price we paid.

The hotel is not right in the centre but it was easy to get to anywhere by tram or metro both a must when visiting Budapest. We also managed to eat and drink in the local restaurants and bars which served fantastic food and were very cheap. Our favourite was the Time Out Corner just a couple of streets away from the hotel at Tűzoltó utca 11. They served wonderful local food, they were really welcoming and so cheap. Or try the bars and restaurants on the same road as the hotel again all very good.

Stayed here last week for 4 nights, with my wife. The hotel is located in a quiet suburb with a couple of decent pub/bars down the road and the tram into the centre just a 5 or 6 minute walk away. Also, there's an underground station a few minutes away.

The reception staff were all helpful and friendly and the public areas seemed fine including a bar off reception where live football was shown some evenings. The breakfast area was pleasant enough and there was plenty to eat although the choice seemed to be the same every day and the cooked fayre and cereals were a little limited.

The rooms were reasonable without exactly being stylish and the bathrooms functional and clean. All in all a decent package.

Two connected problems we encountered though...firstly the bedroom walls seemed very thin and the first two nights we had an incredibly talkative group of women who kept us awake for quite a while. And secondly, the hotel seems to get a lot of large parties staying, including large groups of students. While we were there there was a party of Italian students who woke us up in the middle of the night running around the corridors.

So if a good night's sleep is high on your wishlist, be sure to ask for a quiet room away from any groups!

Room Tip: As above, be sure to ask for a quiet room away from any student groups or coach parties.

Myself & girlfriend stayed in the Leonardo hotel Budapest, for a week in Febuary & had a wonderful time hotel was central to all the places we wanted to visit, this was the third time we have been to Budapest in last three years.Only one problem in our room on 6th floor was the shower over the bath was only 4ft 6" high & i am over 6ft everything else was great cannot fault it.One piece of advice is buy a travel pass it covers bus, trams, metro, & some boat crossings it cost us 4,900 forints each about £16 for a 7 day pass it saved us a fortune.

The hotel is well situated, walking distance from most of the interesting sights. The room was clean and tidy and the staff seemed well trained and thoughtful. Breakfast was pretty good, great selection, well executed and nicely presented. The food was excellent overall, the chefs obviously are masters of their trade. Great job!
