“Great location, bad services and noisy rooms”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

Location is great for everything, underground, touristic buses, connection to airport, etc but it is more of a 3-star hotel rather than a 4-star hotel. The girls at the reception are pretty rude and helpless. Internet connection did not work very well in the room. I had to move around the room acting like an antenna to get connected on and off. My room (on the ground level ) was very noisy, maybe rooms in other floors are not so noisy but I asked for changing into another room but they did not allow me to.
For location, it is great but for the rest, prepare to get into a standard hotel with poor service.

Room Tip: Do not choose ground floor. Very noisy

Great location! We were able to walk to many tourist sights. Amazing breakfast and the staff was very helpful. Wifi only worked in the lobby, but that was no big deal. We would go back there again. Our room was located right above the front door and guests returning late at night were rather noisy, probably a little intoxicated!!!

Room Tip: Don't get a room right above the front door -- it gets a little noisy at times!!!

This hotel is ideal for a short city break, it's only a few minutes walk to the city centre there are bars and shops in all directions and by chance we were there when the zode fest beer festival was on just a few streets away. The hotel it's self is clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff were helpful and had good local knowlage, one thing I would say is avoid drinking in the hotel bar unless you really have to, compared local bars near by its very expensive!

Would stay here again.

Located minutes on foot from downtown, in a street off the busy road. Most of the hotel looks quite modern, but my room was distinctly old-fashioned. It was small, but clean and tiny. Late check out (13 hrs) was no problem. Nice but abandoned bar. Free wifi, that's great. The TV navigation is very peculiar. Is it too easy to end up at a pay channel.

NIce looking hotel in a central location. Comfortable room although the wndow was a bit small. Friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast.
The only problem was other guests tak=lkong loudly in the corridor late at night, presumably less than sober.

Mercure Museum hotel is part of a chain of hotels in Budapest. It has a great position, close to the Danube. The breakfast was great, but not included. The rooms were nice and very clean. The staff was friendly and you had free Wi-Fi. There is also a small museum in the hotel. I recommend it!

The hotel is in a side street not far from an underground station. Modern room, bathroom had good facilities with complimentary shampoo and gels. Free internet, tea and coffee facilities in the room. Helpful staff at check-in. I did not try breakfast or any facilities in the hotel. .

Room Tip: Back of hotel is quiet overlooking grass,
