We visited the Rudas Baths after booking a ticket on line. Despite this we were asked to wait outside as the baths were full and access was now on a one-in one-out basis.
Once in, the changing rooms and facilities were very clean. There are secure lockers to keep your belongings and whilst Male and Females share the changing areas, there are individual cubicles to get changed in.
Inside the Wellness area there are several saunas and a couple of steam rooms, these were great but you didn’t feel you could stay there long as people came in and stood waiting for a seat. The same experience was had in the 42degree corner pool that was just too small for the crowds they had let in.
The most gutting thing is that we chose these baths for the roof top pool, but you physically couldn’t get in it. It was so full people were just stood shoulder to shoulder and were queuing on the roof top shivering in their swimsuits. We tried twice during our visit and gave up.
It wasn’t all bad; the staff are friendly, the place was clean, and the larger cooler pools weren’t as crowded. Go along if you want to tick it off your list, but don’t expect a relaxing pampered experience and prepare yourself to miss out on the roof top experience.
