Neglected other reviews and tried myself.
One big tourist trap, with complemantary shtty service.
Stayed for 5 minutes and left. Even asking where the exit was in this maze got me a sigh and directions to the women's changing rooms as it was the nearest door this spa worker was bothered to point at.

Can't be bothered to waste words on the other personnel as they surely didn't waste any on me.

There are plenty of reviews like this, and i heard it is a recent problem. Whoever is running the establishment now should consider long term profitability.

We had a good time here, i really liked the thermal pool areas, big pools and felt pretty cleas.

The saunas was so different, since both men and women went in to each others areas we tried them booth, the sauna in the mens area is so hot so you can´t sit in it, it was bright and all in all not that nice wile the one in the women area is amazing, pretty dark, nice "sofa" and so on.

In the big pool inside you have to where a simhat just so you know, the guards are to say the least very strict about this...

The pool outside we did´t really like, very much people and very noisy and not that big.

The food from the restaurant is ok, the service when it´s a rush is not that good, if possible try to wait a bit if you see it´s a lot of people waiting, it can take a lot of time.

It opens at 6am, and entry fee is around USD $20-25. I would recommend bringing your own towel and slippers, however you can rent out anything at the place. You are issued a watch looking wristband that gets you inside. You can stay there the entire day, however if you leave you have to pay again to come in. It took me a little bit to understand where all the thermal spa pools are, but I ended up finding them - it helps to get a map if it's your first time. there is a total of 5 inside thermal pools with temperature ranging from 36 to 40 Celsius. There are also two big regular pools, one inside and one outside. You are required to buy a cap for the inside one, but I saw a lot of people not using the cap. The outside pool is fun, deep, and they run artificial waves every once in a while. You can eat/drink/sunbath outside, plenty of room. There is also one outside thermal pool, close to a sauna and a ice cold dipping mini-pool. Great place, a lot of fun, not expensive. Let me know if you have any questions, I can also send pictures!

Very well preserved historic building surrounding ancient thermal bath site on the Danube River in Buda side of Budapest. A bit of a confusing process trying to get sorted on entry (hint: if you have a voucher you purchased at a hotel, stop at the small window on the left when you enter the main door), but Gabor ("Gabriel") was brilliant! Kind, funny, helpful and attentive. He made sure we got where we needed to be when we needed to be there. I recommend you do all the pools, ending with a sauna or steam and a dip in the cold immersion pool, then get a one-hour massage upstairs (book 1-2 days in advance). You will need the babying after walking all over beautiful Budapest.

If you want to visit the baths, I like this one much better than Rudas - cleaner, lighter, more open. Layout is confusing, having to buy a cap for one pool seems odd, and the massage was OK. Soaking in various temp mineral water was great, as was constantly drinking the mineral water while there. An OK experience overall.
