“Nice to see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

It's really a beautiful place to visit, more nice for your eyes I'd like to say, because the bulding is extremely nice and majestic. It's one of other five baths in Budapest and considered to be as the best and most expensive, but don't expect too much in the meaning of the best one. The personal looks not so happy with their work and visitors, the girl who sales tickets can not explain the difference between different kinds of them (she says the difference only in price ;)). It's also easy to get lost in the big area: nobody and nothing will help you with the direction. And better not to have any problems with the locker as we had (we couldn't open it so we had to find the locker man with the keys , who looked like he was going to kill everybody, first plan was not to get lost and the second one - not to be run against the lockerman;)
There were not a lot of people at that period of time (at the end of march)- maybe the season starts a bit later, so it was quite comfortable to relax everywhere. The outside pool also works - only one of other 10) and its the best place to chill when its already dark outside, you can still have a nice romantic view with all the lights.
There's a small cafe on the second floor with drinks and snacks. The cabins are on the first floor and you can leave your staff there, the lockers are on the second floor (men and women separately).
In any case it's worth to visit Gellert spa for once at least , we were prepared to see the displeased personal (we also read some reviews before), so we didn't worry to much of it. If you are able to get abstracted from all these small notions you will definitely enjoy the time.

“Lovely place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

We booked the tickets through our hotel and ut cost 11000 ft about £20 each. Once there it was a bit confusing but there was a really friendly girl on the desk and we booked a 30 min massage for 4400. Once inside the cabins were inc in the priceand are secure. Its easy to find your way round and there were lots of staff asking if you were ok. We didnt come accross any unhelpful people and the thermal baths wtc were lovely. Would def recommend.

“Worth a look but I wasn't tempted to use the baths”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

The building is lovely, but I wasn't tempted to use the facility because it seemed overcrowded, and not very clean. Suddenly a coach load of around 50 people will turn up, and you wouldn't get through the pay booth for ages. I would prefer something more exclusive

“The worst place I've ever visited!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

Exhausted! This place is considered as "best spa in Budapest" but definitely it is not the truth.
Some locker are not working - there are no personal around to help.
No navigation to pools - whole Gellert acts as labyrint - it's very difficult to find all pools offered.
Whole area is so dirty, especially toilets! I didn't find courage to use shower..
Generaly Geller Spa persuaded me, that spa in Budapest is not worth for visit anymore.

“What a way to spend the day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

Thoroughly recommended - get there early-ish, and try everything. The spa baths, the wave pool (with and without waves), the icy cold plunge and the thermal baths. Didn't have time for a massage - what a pity.
